Perfect as a gift for loved ones and/or yourself
I bought two IPad2 cases in two different colors...one was for me and one for my Mom. I let her choose the color she wanted from the Yellow and Black or the Deep Sea as it was her gift for her birthday and for Christmas Instructions were easy to install it on the IPad, and using the stand is much more efficient than holding it, as is a bit heavy is you are just holding it. It has been great around her 2year little boy grandson, and mine is perfect for my 5 year old step son who has Autism, with those ages comes meltdowns and also disinterest in the IPad and it gets dropped, with the Otter Box case you don't have to worry about it getting busted. Even my sons school uses them. MOST IMPORTANTLY...OTTER BOX STANDS BY THEIR PRODUCT, I have had to have my phone case replaced and they did so NO QUESTIONS asked, online request form, upload photos and wait for email that you NEW ONE is on it's way. I trust Otter Box with all my electronic needs.

Fantastic product for home use
This otter box is a replacement for one i bought earlier. The otter box feels great. There are to many good things to list here. However, the quality of the material means that i cannot use an otter box for work. The problem is that if an otter box is subjected to a lot of use, the soft rubber begins to warp and the hard cover begins to crack. I have, instead, given the otter box to my wife who uses her iPAD sparingly which will protect the integrity of the otter box. I would suggest that you delete the words 'on the go' in your promotional material because this implies that the unit is good for active users. For your info, there are three iPADs in my household. Two of the three otter boxes we bought were effectively destroyed because of extensive use of the iPAD. It did not occur to me to return the first one because i thought i did something wrong. I don't think i will try my luck with a fifth otter box. In the photo attached, you can see what happens over time to the hard cover if the iPAD is used extensively. My primary use for the iPAD is work...running to meetings, taking notes...i rarely print my files now. Thank you for this opportunity

    Missing options
    This is my second Defender for iPads. Both I took of clear screen. I’m like to do art and written journals so I use a matte screen protector like Paperlike for use with a Apple Pencil. A lot more control on a matte finish and does feel like writing on real paper. It would be nice you could choose which type of screen protector you want.

    I left my iPhone o top of my car and drove onto interstate 35 in Oklahoma city. Of course it fell off. I looked back and saw several cars and at least one semi's tires drive directly over the phone. I managed to stop go back and pick it up. To my pleasant surprise the only damage was a couple scuff marks on one corner, a few indentations on the clear protective front cover and several truck tire tread marks on the back of the otter box defender. The phone works perfectly I'm sure that the money spent on this great case saved my iPhone 6+ from total destruction. Maybe otter box will exchange my case for a new one so they can put my otter box in their museum of phone saving otter box defender protective cases.

    The instruction video on the web site is awesome! I don't think I would have figured out how to take off the gel piece without it. I have had ZERO problems with the case. I can toss it everywhere without worry! And the color is the best. None of that plain black you see in the stores.

    Can use improvements.
    I use the defender series for my iPhone so when I saw that one for my iPad air 2 was aviaviable I thought why not. Here are some flaws I see. The first layer, the rubber part, is not easy to remove from the hard shell. Also the rubber part near the charging port was already loose out of the box. It does not grip to the hard shell fully as it should. The gap for the home button is not large enough for the fingerprint to recognize. If the bottom part could reflect the design of the phone that would help. It is a defender case so I'm reassured that my iPad won't break.

    BEST CASE FOR THE IPAD HANDS DOWN
    I do screen replacements for all tablets and cellular devices, not only have I NEVER broken my own devices while in an Otterbox Defender Series case, I strongly urge my customers to get one as soon as they pick up their repaired device from my repair shop. In some instances you could buy 3 cases for the amount of the repair costs to your phone or tablet. Strongly Recommended - Chad / ABQ, NM

    Ipad Defender case
    I had purchased the Defender case for Ipad2 some time ago. After a while the internal frame of that case cracked. No really sure how this occurred, but Otter Box replaced my original case with a newer version. This case has been updated and from the original design. The Defender case is excellent. I am very pleased with this case and the fact that Otter Box replacement my original Defender at no expense. I use there Defender and Lifeproof cases for my cell phones. There products are excellent. If you are in the market for a quality case for your hand held devices, you should look no further than to Otter Box for high quality products. Thank you RM

    Great for use in the field
    We have 7 superintendents and they need to have technology out in the field. Using the Otterboxes really helps us keep our devices safe and clean. We would definitely recommend this product. It saves $$$ by keeping our guys in the field, they are not having to make multiple trips back to the office to get updated plans.
