Super roomy and easy to set up. Great ventilation!
This tent came to me very well packaged. The box it was shipped in fit comfortably snug and was still easy enough to slip out with one hand. The carrying case had a box that held the tent and the rest of the contents an held the shape of the bag itself. The owners documentation laid neatly on top of the box. There were no strange or foul odors straight out of the packaging. (Thank you, Ozark!) The tent comes with a rain cover, the tent, the poles, some stakes and two tie straps when you roll it up and lastly the bags for the poles and stakes. Most importantly, the documentation is very well written and easy to understand even for someone who doesn't know much about tents and camping. It has illustrations of some things to better understand the instructions. If you do have issues with parts defects or anything else they have a clearly written insert explaining how to contact them for assistance. I did not have to make any calls. The poles feel very sturdy and are very lightweight. The ferrules interlock well and hold place good. I had no issues putting together this tent by myself and I am 5ft 3.75in (I shrank over the years). It didn't take very long. It is best set up on a level surface. The surface I set it up on was level 2/3 of the way and then dropped off on the other third. It was tricky but I got it figured out. The floor is very good for a retail tent. I do suggest that when you set up your tent that you have a tarp below to help keep twigs, branches, rocks, and other stuff from puncturing or ripping the floor. (Before you stake it down if possible). The rain cover is nice and fits over well, but does require two people to put that up. The stakes are those basic thin ones that look more like wire bent at one corner. Invest in better stakes. It's worth it. The carrying case is very roomy and allows for some leeway if you don't or can't repack the tent in the same fashion as the manufacturer. It was pretty windy when I set it up and it still setup quickly. It's not an 'instant tent' but it's pretty fast and easy even as a beginner. Looking at the tent on the website, the price is definitely worth this tent. It should serve you well. Even in some harder weather. I recommend this tent for just about anyone. This tent is designed for occasional recreation usage, not for extended long-term shelter. (With adaptations, you COULD make it work, but that would cost considerably more than just buying another, better suited, tent for those purposes). NOTE: NO TENT is ever safe in thunderstorms and severe weather. Get out as soon as you can, leave your tent and get to somewhere safe. While it holds water out, it will not protect you if it floods! Get out and get to higher ground ASAP.

Great Potential, A Few Flaws
This tent is definitely roomy! There is enough room for our family of four composed of two adults, one teen, and one preteen. We prefer cots or twin airbeds because we camp for a week at a time usually and ground sleeping that long gets very hard on the back. This tent will fit all our gear without any problems. Additionally, the screen room can sub as an extra room when the rain fly is on so you can have some privacy for changing or for putting little kids to bed in one half and not having to wake them up when you came to bed later. The fly covers the full tent, with the exception of around the windows, where it comes up. Presumably, this allows for added ventilation, but it does worry me in a rainstorm. The bathtub floor does not come up on the sides of the tent and is on the bottom of the tent only. This extra-added protection should really be standard in today's market. It greatly reduces the odds that water will enter the tent and I did not like that this tent does not have it. The tent is not too hard to put together, but it definitely is not a one-man job. I would say three people comfortably so one can hold each end of the tent up while the other secures everything and connects the top pole that runs the length of the tent. On that note, be careful with the overhang on each side as its height is just about face level and if you are not looking when entering the tent, you end up with a pole in the eye. I am short, only 5'3 so thankfully when I turned unexpectedly because my daughter fell it only got me in the head. Another flaw I noticed was the window coverings do not have any tiebacks. You unzip the coverings and the fabric just hangs there, increasing the odds of someone snagging or ripping it. There are at least enough windows and doors to keep the tent cool. There is a door at each end of the tent, two windows in the main sleeping section, and the convertible screen room is entirely mesh past the bathtub floor. This does allows you greater flexibility with sleeping arrangements as on warm nights you can sleep in the full mesh screen room and on cooler nights you can sleep in the main sleeping area with all the windows and doors zipped up. It seems like it would be good in the wind as there are adequate guylines and the rainfly clips to the pin and rings without any problems. I do not know how it would do in rain, as it does seem that the fly is a thinner material. I do not plan to find out on a long trip but will take it out for an overnighter just in case it does not hold up totally. I will also be sealing seams and using a coating of waterproofing spray. Overall, the tent is not bad. The space is really the selling point, and being able to stand up in it without stooping around is mandatory for many people. Easy assembly and take down are great bonuses as well and the multi-use setup of the screen room is a major selling point. The odd cut out of the rainfly and the small bathtub floor are pretty questionable though and only time will tell if it holds up good in the rain.

    Spacious Versatile Family Tent
We just used this tent for the first time and we were very happy with it. Our entire family of four slept comfortably, and we fit two queen air mattresses inside. The mesh ceiling on one side made it easy to enjoy the evening without bugs. Convenient pockets and the two-way entry made for a fantastic camping weekend. Setup was relatively easy and took about 30 mins.

Awesome tent, spacious and doesnt leak!
Our first outing with this tent went great, even though the weather wasnt. The tent is very easy for two people to set up, it took about 20 minutes. I am 6 ft tall and although I have to duck entering the door I can easily walk around inside without issue. We were able to place two full size cots in the rear room with space to walk between them. We did not get to roll the rain fly back due to heavy rain but having the front room as a screened room was still nice. The poles are very thick and strong. It rain pretty much constantly during our outing and we did experience some gusty winds due to thunderstorms produced by the remnants of Hurricane Laura. We did not find any leaks or water intrusion at all. The tent was also very easy to repack in the supplied bag with enough space to include the 9x12 tarp we used as a footprint rolled up around it. An excellent tent especially considering the price!

    Great tent for family camping
This is a nice big tent, very spacious inside; a 6 foot person can stand inside of it at its highest point, no crawling at all with this one, which is probably my favorite feature about it. It has a room divider/curtain in the middle of it, which you can either leave open for a larger more spacious setup, or close it up and turn it into two rooms, I guess if you were to camp with non-family buddies. It can probably sleep the 8 that it states it can, which would be 4 sleeping bags put side to side in each one of the rooms, but I would think that would be kind of tight and annoying, unless maybe if all 8 of those people were all from the same family and feeling really close to one another to be in each other's space. Otherwise, I would say it would be better to sleep 3 people on each side for a total of 6 campers. Most of all, I think it would be perfect and just the right size for a 4-person family/group, that would give everyone their own bubble/space very comfortably. Setup takes about 45min to an hour, depending on if you know what you're doing or not and can be done for the most part by one person, it's just quicker with two people and putting on the rain fly definitely takes two people, as this part of the setup cannot be done alone, you need one person to hold it from each side and pull it over the tent to over it. Taking it down takes about 20-30 minutes and is much easier than setting it up. It's nice how the tent has so many netted windows to keep bugs out but still allow for some breeze in. We had so many bugs outside the tent, but none of them got it, which means these are good secure nets. The rain fly was crucial for camping overnight, without it, we would've all gotten soaked from all the dew and humidity outside. Everyone also really liked the little doormat at the entrance of the tent, which allowed people a place for all the shoes before entering the tent. There is also an opening on the side of the tent to bring in electric cords, if you use that sort of thing, though I've never seen an outlet on a side of a trail ;-) There's a small pocket on another end for small electronics/necessities that you might need quick access for, which everyone thought was very nice and convenient. The kids loved this tent as well, younger and older ones alike, we let them play in it for about an hour, jumping and running all around it and it held up just fine. By the way, there's an extra door in the back, besides the one in the front, which basically makes for a separate door to each one of the room, so if someone was to wake up at night, they wouldn't have to step over everyone in one room to exit the tent. I should probably note that a tent of this size and structure is definitely NOT the kind of tent you want to take backpacking with you or even kayaking/canoeing, as it is very heavy, weighs about 25 lbs. It does come in a neat duffel bag and separate pouches for the rods, the stakes etc. which really help keep it organized. The bag can be zipped open/close both from the top and bottom and even have handles to help carry it from the car to the camping site. It's nice to take it a vehicle and I love how it stores so compactly and neatly when not in use. The only one thing that I should warn about is the rod that comes out at the very top, front of the tent. It helps make a nice covered entrance area, but it about poked me in the eye the first time I walked into the tent, so just be careful when entering.

    OUTSTANDING OZARK TRAILS TENT!!!!!!!
Ozark Trail Tents just keep getting better! The Ozark Trail 13' x 9' Tunnel Tent which Sleeps 8. It is designed with a large screened enclosed area with a floor built in, to enjoy a bug free afternoon and gives you extra cross air ventilation. Front and rear doors for easy access. The back sleep area has 2 screen windows with privacy panels. It has a top to bottom full zip room divider to separate the screen room from the back room. It has an E-Port in the back room to run your electrical cord thru. It's dimensions are 156”Long x 96”Wide x 76”Height. The tent comes in a canvas carrying case and weighs 25 pounds. The packed case dimensions are 27”Long x 10”Wide x 10”Deep. It Sleeps 8 but is a palace for 2. I put a 7ft x 7ft outdoor carpet rug in screen room for added padding. It has a full length rain fly which is Seam Sealed and fits the tent perfect allowing proper cross air ventilation. The tent is easy to setup, I set it up in 15mins by myself. It uses a pin and ring frame attachment system to attach the 4 fiberglass poles. Having 2 doors are convenient, you can enter/exit from the front or back of tent. The 2 doors have privacy panels and have mesh screen on them and on 2 windows in back room for ample cross ventilation. You can roll the rain fly back in good weather to sleep under the stars with plenty of air ventilation. There are 2 mesh storage pockets, 1 in the front room and 1 in the back room. It comes with aluminum stakes and guy-lines. The only improvements I would make, for the floor to be a little thicker. I do recommend using a ground cloth under tent, I use a 10mil or thicker tarp for mine. This tent is Only available in Orange with Grey Accents, I wish they had it in dark Green or Camo. This tent floor space is huge!!! I highly recommend this tent. For the space verses features, full seam sealed rain fly....it's a winner for sure! IT IS AN OUTSTANDING OZARK TRAILS TENT!!!

Ozark Trails 13X9 Tunnel Tent Sleeps 8
My new tent arrived nicely packed in a cardboard box that held the rectangular tent bag. The black heavy duty tent bag is of high quality and features three strap handles that are sewed to the 26 inch long 10 inch wide and 10 inch tall tent carry bag. A nice feature of the carry bag allows for the bottom of the bag to be unzipped giving the bag more room when repacking the tent after its initial use. Another nice touch is the information description and help number attached to the outside of the tent bag its self. I own over a dozen tents and love the fact that there is a description of the bags contents prominently displayed on the exterior of the carry bag. The tent comes with setup instructions and pictures to aid first time setup. I laminated my instructions and placed a grommet through the top to help weather-proof and tether the instructions to the tent carry bag. The tent can be set up by one person but it is recommended it be set up by two or more people. The tent poles are of made from a heavy duty fiberglass and telescope together by means of metal furls. A traditional method usually reserved for smaller sized tents but works well for this large tent. As with all new tents the initial set up can be challenging if you do not read and study the instructions beforehand. This tent Is not of the “instant up” variety. I would estimate it would take two people fifteen to twenty minutes to setup. After initial set up was complete and the rain fly on it underwent a severe test. It rained very hard for an hour or more. I had retrieved a large bath towel and was prepared for the obligatory mop up operation. I unzipped the living space door exception to find at at least some leakage, maybe some puddles in the corners. Much to my surprise the living quarters where bone dry, so with some wariness I unzipped the divider and also much to my surprise and relief the screen room was also bone dry! The tent is designed as for family or occasionally use and not advertised or recommended as a outfitter or three season tent. The floor is made from thin material and I would recommend you use a heavy duty tarp as a ground cover to protect it from puncture by sticks and stones. If you have animals that have sharp claws an over the top of the floor tarp would be a good idea as well. I loved the design of the screen room. Simply roll back the rain fly and enjoy the breeze or stars at night. Another very nice feature is that there are large zipper doors in both ends of this tent. The sleeping area has a zippered dividing panel for privacy and convince. The tent stakes that and are provided and a bit on the wimpy side and I replaced them with the longer heavy duty style that have built in LED's to prevent tripping into the stakes or lines at night. This is a great price point tent and was so many good features I could go on about it for the next two days. So to summarize great head room, great ventilation, good size rooms, lots of well thought out design features, a truly great rain fly that actually works, best designed screen room of any tent I have ever owner regardless of price. Choosing the right tent can be a daunting task. Every bodies needs are different in some ways depending on your location and the tents intended use. That said I would highly recommend this tent as a light duty, occasional use tent that is a wonderful example of a well-designed price point tent that has virtue well beyond it's very reasonable purchase price.

    The many many options...
This tent gets an A+ from me. The Ozark Trail 13' x 9' Dome tunnel tent has a bunch of awesome features with very minimal complaints from me. First of all it as very easy to set up. Just like an easy 4 person small tent you have poles (4 in this case) that hold the tent up. You simply lay the tent out unrolling it flat, then find each spot on the bottom and stake it to the ground. Make sure that you push stakes in completely, as when I was setting up the tent to take a picture for this review I missed a stake and I accidentally stepped on the tent and since the stake wasn't securely in the ground it actually went up and through the bottom of my tent causing a tear that needs some mending. Oooops! Don't do that! Next you have to find the correct poles and insert into their designated areas. Some spots have clips to insure the poles stay in place, and then attach poles to each bottom area by a metal bar at the bottom. After all poles are up and tent is up you put the top (fly) on and then you use the strings located on the side of the tent to stake down and secure the tent so that it doesn't move at all. Its really simple. I think that between me an my boyfriend (who were hardly even looking at the instructions) it took about 10 minutes to set up. The fact that it is over 6 ft tall (76" to be exact) is by far my favorite feature. Now I know there are many tents that are tall, but this is the first tent that I have owned that I am able to stand up in. And let me tell you that not having to bend over while getting dressed or moving stuff, or at all is so great! Nothing worse than going back to get something from your tent in the dark and having to hit your head and crouch over uncomfortably while you are trying to find something in your bag. That being said there are other awesome features as well. Some of the features include 3 windows for ventilation, both front and back doors that have optional privacy windows, an optional center divider & a built in (optional) screen room! The tent is easily big enough to sleep 8 comfortably, and you have the option of zipping up a divider in the middle for privacy say if you have children, or a few couples. Also you can pull back the top cover flap to create a screen room in the front of the structure while still using the center divider to ensure the back portion of the tent can still be used as a discreet place to sleep. The screen room option is especially nice if you have bugs in your area and want to bring a small table and chairs or something inside (say to play some cards), or even leaving down so you can star gaze at night while in your bags without the hassle of being bitten alive by bugs or dealing with bug spray! I know this was a big plus for me because I cant stand bugs, yuck! I love that this tent leaves you with so many options. You can have no windows open, or all of the windows open, you can have the screen room blocked off by the divider or you can leave the whole tent open like one big room, it even has ties so that if you don't want the screen room to be zipped you can tie the flaps so that they stay open for easy walk in access. So many different ways to use this tent. Last but not least is deconstruction. I know my worst problems with most tents is that when you take it down and roll (or fold) it up the best that you can you cant ever seem to make it fit back into the bag that it comes in. Not in this case! I was really worried initially because when I got the tent, the case seemed pretty packed and square and it looked as if the stuff barely fit in in to begin with. Thankfully after opening I realize that it came with a cardboard box INSIDE that case, a box that you don't need later. So After we took down the tent, put the stakes back in their designated bag, and the poles back in their designated back, rolled up the tent as best as we could and tied it, and folded up the top (fly), it fit easily and nicely back inside its black carrying case with no hassle or issues. Yes! Love that! I wish that the carrying case had a shoulder strap (like a duffel bag) instead of two hand straps, because carrying on your shoulder seems like the best option. The tent is NOT light, so its not a tent you would want to lug around if you were hiking into the woods to go camping. But these are just things I wish it had, not really necessary essentials. I can honestly say that I have only one complaint about this tent so far, ONLY ONE! That complaint is that when you have the top (fly) on the tent, when you open the windows the top covers them so that you can not see out! I thought that was silly and that maybe they should have made the top shorter or something? But I guess if you want a really good water tight seal at night when you are sleeping, having the window blocked is a small price to pay for not getting wet. ESPECIALLY when you have an option of a whole screen room anyways. So would I recommend this tent? WITHOUT A DOUBT. 100%, with only one complaint, you cant go wrong with the Ozark Trail 13' x 9' Dome Tunnel Tent.

Finally, a tent roomy enough for a family!
As a tent camping family, we typically need two tents for four of us to sleep comfortably. Although you could sleep eight in this tent, it would be crowded. However, it is perfect for a group of four to six. The directions for set up were brief, yet easy to follow. My husband and I set it up, together, in a matter of about 15 minutes the first time. The light-weight material makes this tent easy to handle. However, we did experience a rip in the casing when we were installing the initial pole (A) and decided that the casing should have been reinforced. I would highly recommend using a tarp under this tent to make sure you do not puncture the floor and to protect your supplies from the damp ground. (However, I would recommend using a tarp with ANY tent, not just this one.) We were impressed with the height of this tent; we could easily stand in it. We also liked the room divider. This could be used to provide privacy in the night. It could also be used to separate the sleeping section from the living/dining section. Just pull back the fly cover to expose a screened in room. Finally, this tent was easy to take down and pack back into the duffle bag it arrived in. We will be using this tent and looking forward to creating family memories on our next outing!

Big enough tent for 8 men
I am doing a review of the Ozark 13" X 9" Tunnel Tent. First, let me say this is a wonderful Tent. I love it. 13" X 9" sounds small but it is really not. It is just right. It was easy to set up. It comes with very good instructions. I followed it to a T and did not have any problems. It is very well made. It looks like it will last a long time. Very Durable. I love the color. It is orange with a little grey on it. I did not put the fly on it but it seems to be made very durable too. I left it off because I wanted the other side to be a sun room. The weather was nice so I didn't really need it. It is like a really thick tarp. It is all orange. It has a divider in the middle of the tent and both windows are in one room only when zipped. If you are sleeping people on both sides the windowless side will get hot. That is why I gave it four stars. I understand why they did it but there is just not enough ventilation. They should have put a window on the front of the sun room's door. That would have fixed the ventilation problem. There is a flat sheet of tarp on the front of the tent right at the opening on the ground. It is in a rectangle shape. I think that is to put your shoes on. Even with the windowless side I still would have bought it because my boyfriend and I only sleep on the one side.
