Buy two sets to keep the deer away
I bought two sets of poles to make it tall enough to keep the deer away. I cemented one of the small sections into the ground and let it cure a few days. Then I added almost all of the rest of the sections of poles to it. My feeders are now high enough that I can barely reach them to refill them but the deer can't reach them. I also put the pole 20' away from any trees and put a squirrel baffle on the pole to keep the squirrels away. Works great and only the birds can get to the food now.

Wobbly
I bet the next gust of wind, and this crap will fall down. What a waste.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/12/2021Bird WatchingI liked the ease of assembly and had the bottom section set in concrete. I then had my son-n-law make an attachment for the top out of 2 x 4's and am able to hang four feeders instead of two and in addition, I added a squirrel baffle. However, the squirrels can still jump to the bottom of the feeders. One more extension section for the pole would be great.Elaine

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/09/2015Nice for lighter birdfeedersWhile it looked sturdy in the box, it tends to move around in the soil. We pounded it down quite far like instructions suggest but we didn't feel comfortable hanging our 5 lb feeder on it. The feeder hangs much lower than expectedKtuck

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/31/2015Better than expected! The description didn't say it would come with the pictured hooks & a feeder/house mount but it does!! I was thrilled and will order another set because of that. Wish I'd known it had that feeder mount because I'd ordered one separately. Oh, well, I'll use that one, too. Anyway, the poles in this set are nice & sturdier than I'd thought they'd be, given the price. I'd recommend buying a stabilizer or setting in concrete, if you live where it's breezy. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't carry the stabilizers & their auger poles are expensive.bike2library

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/29/2014quick installation poleEasy to set up . Great for hanging birdfeeders. The only complaint is that you must use a board over end of pole to hammer it into the ground or the hammer will spread the end of the pole and it will not fit into the next pole. Currently, my station is one pole short as the first pole was enlarged by the hammer. Good quality. Great price. would recommend it.Moorpark2

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/20/2013Very Good Design, Quality MaterialsVery easy to install, just follow the directions, the end result is a good feeder pole. If you want it to stand perfectly straight, the loads on the two side hangers ( if present ) should be balanced, two identical feeders or suet cages, and the feeder on top must be more or less exactly centered depending on its size.BobnRic
