NOT WASTE FREE BUT A GOOD SEED NONETHELESS
The birds LOVE it!!! I've had a variety that enjoy this mix, from sparrows, to finches, to doves, to even small goldfinches. It's not waste-free as I thought, but I traded out my regular top feeder to a tray-type, and the mess isn't quite as bad. And since doves are for the most part ground-feeders, they do clean up what's dropped. The prices is more reasonable than some of the mixes that are currently on the market.

the finch seed pictured is NOT the one delivered. I thought it was the black finch thistle seed pictured, but the delivered product was the finch seed combination that is the "yellow" mix. I returned all the 4 bags ordered.

Birds love them. Careful where feeder is placed.
The seeds are sooooo fertile? When it falls to the ground, they grow rapidly right away on almost anything! Be sure to put feeder where it is safe. My other potted plants and all the ground underneath are FULLof growths ...they look like grass. I just dont know how tall or big they would be a few days more....

    Nice and clean
Nice to have mess free seed.! Sunflower seeds in the shells are great but not for a back yard where the feeder is in your garden. This works very nicely... would like to see a larger size somewhat cheaper.

    Clean mix of seed
I buy this type of seed for the many different birds that are attracted to it. I like that it doesn't have corn in it, nor thistle seed. There is a nut with the brown covering that ends up on the ground, which the chipmunks eat. This is fine with me because it keeps the chippies on the ground, rather than up the tree, trying to jump to the feeder. I get nuthatches, american goldfinches, sparrows, blue jays, titmouse.
