I've only had this for a few days, but I like the fact that it is metal and that hopefully it will be harder for the squirrels to ruin! Great quality for the price.

    Okay.
I got 2 of these however when they arrived they were not packed well at all. 1 of them had 2 of the perches completely broken off!! It honestly looks like they were broken before shipping because the broken pieces were way at the bottom of the box under the packing paper! I'm giving 5 stars simply because the 1 that wasn't damaged is very sturdy SO FAR!!

    Best finch feeder.
Best finch feeders I have. They hold up to squirrels as there is no place for a squirrel to sit on so if they do get on, they fall off right away. These feeders have lasted for years.

    pleased
beautiful, well made, though I really would prefer no plastic parts at all. The top and the openings are made of plastic. It is actually taller than expected, a pleasant surprise. My tree in the front yard is full of bird houses and this is now the third feeder I have in the tree. Needless to say the birds love it.

    Metal Feeder
I bought this feeder cause of the material it's made of. Metal last a lot longer than plastic. You won't be disappointed in purchasing this one.

Hungry squirrels will destroy this feeder!
Cute feeder but not for anyone that has squirrels visiting their feeders. The body of the feeder is metal but the top and perches are plastic. It only took a few days before the squirrels had chewed the plastic hole cover and perches off.

    Poor Quality
I love that this feeder is metal and colorful, but the plastic perches do not hold up. I have two of these feeders hanging on my feeder poles. On both the cheap plastic perches have either broken or are missing completely from racoon abuse. Since you cannot purchase replacement parts from Perky Pets. I would not recommend these.

Nice Feeder But NOT squirrel proof
Well made, very solid and great looking. The squirrels can still get into it though the feeder holes. They pull the rubber covers off the perches and then the clear hole linings pull out. Going to try to super glue the rubber caps on to the perch posts. Hopefully that will keep them in place.
