Huge headache and Pain in the butt
I wanted to love it but it really didn't work in our location and it was too easy for my 14-month-old to figure out. Once she figured out how to pull out the bottom piece the top would fall right off or bend to the point making it useless. Also it was probably my fault since I didn't read the details well enough, obviously, but I swore that it was supposed to be easy to use one handed and that is not true. When going through, it would have to be unlocked again if it retracted at all. Otherwise it would just stop halfway and youd need two hands to unlock and pull it out again. This gate is such a hassle to get in and out of there's no way you could do it while carrying a baby or blocking a toddler from crawling through. We had to use a carabiner clip to secure the bottom and a lever doorknob latch on top to prevent my daughter from opening it. That made opening and closing even more difficult so we ended up stepping over it which got old fast especially for guests and my mother. We also had to gouge out a bit of our decorative baseboard molding just to install it. It does come with blocks to extend past baseboards, which is great, however I didn't realize it would still require a flat baseboard to install . Even then with our area it was nearly impossible to get it installed correctly which caused opening and closing to be way too difficult for us and way too easy for the baby. It was just a huge pain for our situation but it could possibly work in others. We ended up installing an "adjustable angle" extra long metal gate with swinging walkthrough gate from another retailer and its absolutely stunning.

    i loved it at first but the first thunder storm by dog chewed the bottom and destroyed it in just a couple minutes. its still functional but not pretty. the material should be more sturdy. also my cats can slide right under so probably not good for small dogs

    Smooth and Easy to setup
    I just purchased this gate along with two of another brand. It took us about five minutes to set this gate up and it is smooooth. It is very easy to open and close without any hang ups. I cannot speak to the longevity, but it feels solid and I plan on buying more to replace the crappy gates I got from the other brand. I highly recommend.

    Nice rolling gate
    Very nice design. I gate that disappears is a clever way to separate your pet from other areas of the house. The material is not dog proof. The first day mu toy poodle puppy almost chew off the bottom of the fence.

    Sturdy, well built. Looks clean and neat. Close enough to floor so my little dogs cannot get under. Several ways to mount. Has templates for bracket placement. Very satisfied with product. We used it outside on our deck so our dogs can sit out front with us.

    Be cautious of the lock
    We just installed and test runs meet our expectations. For our purpose it works well, however, I do not recommend for anyone going in and out often or younger children to maneuver. The idea of it locking is what sold me and honestly it is good when it's closed or not being in use because my toddler can't open or close it (or even climb over it but it's only a matter of time before he attempts it)but if you stop while opening at any point you must push the button and try again, if you have your hands full or it's a very wide opening this could be troublesome. For us it's closed for long periods of time and open for long periods of time so it works well.

    We love this gate. The only issue I have with it is you need to have two free hands to open and close it. You have to be able to turn this knob with one hand while the other unhooks the gate. Its not difficult to use but it can be a little cumbersome if youre in a rush or carrying something. Other than that the gate is great and really sturdy.
