It Works
Perfect for when you need additional outlets and want surge protection. Nothing fancy here with a switch on the side to turn off power when needed and a heavy duty power cable. The power strip is easy to mount if desired. With a longer power cord is a great option for people whose outlets are not located closer to things they want to power for. Overall, you get 6 outlets, a longer power cord and easy operation in a nice basic surge protector. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Side switch turns off too easily
I bought two of these Philips power strips with the 10' white braided cord to bring power to an entertainment unit. I chose them mainly because they would blend in best with my white furniture, white trim, and light colored carpet. We have them positioned behind the entertainment center. They work fine, except for the toggle switch on the SIDE of the power strip. It often gets switched off when the power strip is pushed against the wall. I've repositioned them many times to try to avoid this, but they inevitably shift and the switch gets turned off again. Designing the power strip with the switch on TOP instead would eliminate this frustrating issue.

    Love the length for using with sockets hidden behind furnitures. Brings the "socket" out to a usable location that can be folded back when not in use. Also great for extending available length where needed. Sturdy cord and has the surge protection for added safety.

    only improvements to be made would be the addition of USB charging ports and if it does not have rge capability of surge protection then I would say to implement that into upgraded models— although it MAY VERY WELL HAVE surge protection. I am unsure on this.

    l needed another power strip and purchased this one because I purchased one about 7 years ago and am very happy with it. This one is made of a thinner plastic, so I dont know if it will last as long as my previous one. But other than that, works great

    Everyone needs a surge protector! We were in need of a new one since our cats decided to chew through the power cord not too long ago. This is a simple design with one great feature that I have never seen - a reinforced power cord! It's such a great idea! I now feel more confident that it will be protected and keep my family (and animals!) safe.

    Great Surge Protector
    I got the Philips Home Power Elite 6 AC Surge Protector about a week ago, and I am quite happy with it. It doesn't have that pesky power light that glows bright in a dark room. Instead, it got just a simple switch on the side, that is much better and has a firm click sound, that I personally prefer. I think it's well made, and will stand up to any power task you put it to. I think I am going to purchase more of these, because I am quite impressed with it. It's got a nice shiny white surface and white and silver braided cord, that looks very nice. I would definitely recommend this Philips Surge Protector.
