Our family's favorite bottle
I am a nurse who works overnight in the hospital. My six month old baby is breastfed and nurses while I am home but occasionally drinks breastmilk from a bottle. Out of all of the bottles we have tried, the Avent natural baby bottle is our favorite. My baby had no problems drinking out of this bottle. She seemed very comfortable with it. I like this bottle best because it is very easy to clean. This bottle has no hard to reach crevices so I always feel like it is clean after being washed. I prefer to use the dishwasher when washing baby products because it is easy. The Avent baby bottles are completely dishwasher safe. All pieces are easy to take apart and can be reassembled in less then a minute. I previously had a different brand of bottle where the vent was on the bottom and could easily get covered when holding the bottle. These do not have that problem - the vent is always clear. I would also say the anti-colic vent works because we have not had any problems with reflux or gas lately. The ergonomic shape of this bottle makes it comfortable and easy to hold for me or my baby. The bottle is really easy for her to grasp and maneuver on her own. I love that it is wide mouthed; this feature makes it very simple to pour milk into the bottle. I also feel the wide nipple on the bottle is a much more natural shape comparable to a mothers breast. These bottles fit onto my electric breast pump which is very convenient. When I pump milk at work, I can bring it home in the Avent bottle. This means it is ready to use the next day, no need to waste milk storage bags. I definitely recommend these bottles to moms who breastfeed due to their natural shape, ease of cleaning and compatibility with my electric breast pump. Terrible flaw in the design.
I do not like this bottle. it leaks thru the vent that is suppose to help with colic. The nipple is very soft and seemed comfortable but it was just too messy.

    Great bottles
    We buy only Philips Avent bottles and we like their sizes and nipples. Only caveat is you have to be meticulate when you thighten the cap because if too tigh, the nipple will be sucked in the bottle and if too loose, well milk flows all over. But once you get the hang of it they are great bottles quality wise and nipple size/flow selections.

    DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
    I bought this bottle for my baby and once I tilted it over for her to drink it was leaking milk out the silicone and then I tested it over the sink to make sure it wasnt her it still was leaking out from the top and not the nipple of the bottle around it

    Great bottle. Easy to clean and use!
    Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottles have quickly become a favorite in our household. Before weeSpring Parent Panel sent us these bottles to try out, we were using a popular brand that required the purchase of drop-in liners for use. While I have no major complaints about the former brand, it's been great to find a bottle my breastfed little one loves just as much without the hassle and waste of having to purchase liners! In comparison to other brands, cleaning and use of these bottles is a piece of cake! Three parts total. You have the bottle, the nipple, and the ring that holds the nipple in place. There aren't a lot of extra nooks and crannies to worry about scrubbing when the bottle is disassembled, which is a HUGE plus in my book. Assembling the bottle is incredibly easy. So easy, in fact, that five-year-old big brother often helps with that part! The anti-colic vent pushes the air away from baby while she's drinking, so no excess gas or spit-up. She gets a deep latch on the nipple, just as she would if at the breast. This has made transitioning back and forth from breast to bottle so that I am able to return to work pretty simple. I might appreciate the wide, ergonomic design a little more when she is big enough to hold her own bottle (currently 12 weeks old, so not quite there yet); but for now, it just makes fitting it into the bottle holder in my diaper bag a tight squeeze. I've read that the wide neck on the bottle makes it compatible with my spectra breast pump, so I'm excited to give that a try! (I honestly can't believe it hasn't occurred to me to try that out before now. I think I will blame it on mom-brain. Ha!) We currently take anywhere from 2.5 oz to 5 oz of breastmilk per feeding, and have learned that the 4 oz bottle will actually accommodate up to 5 oz of milk, so we've not tried out the larger bottles yet. If we were mixing formula, we would definitely need to size up! I'm really glad weeSpring Parent Panel sent us these bottles to try. I plan to stick with them for the long-haul!!

    I was given this bottle to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My baby is 3 months old. She has been using bottles since birth as it took time for my milk to come in. We give her one bottle of breast milk every evening so my husband can have an opportunity to feed her. She is a very gassy baby and spits up a lot. We have tried a half dozen brands of bottles. We prefer bottles that pace how fast she is feeding and prevent her from swallowing excess air. The Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle met these requirements. We used the bottles with the preemie size 0 nipples. She was able to take 4oz from this bottle in about 20 minutes. With other bottles, we noticed that she would dribble milk out of the corners of her mouth and seemed to choke on the milk. With the size 0 nipple, we didn't have ANY dribbling. I think the Dr. Brown's bottles do a little bit better in terms our preventing swallowed air (I'd give them an A+ for this), but the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle did a pretty good job (I'd give them an A- for this). The anti-colic vent does work. I really like the shape of the bottle. It is easy for me to hold with small hands. My husband who has giant hands has no problem either. Once you know how to assemble the bottle it is easy. The first two times I used the bottle I didn't realize you had to pull the nipple through the ring up to a ridge on the nipple. As a result we had leakage around the ring. But, given that it was assembled incorrectly, it still did a great job :)! My husband has noticed a trade off between how tight the ring needs to be screwed on and how well the anti-colic vent works. He feels like the ring needs to be loose enough to let air out, but not loose enough to leak. I like how wide the mouth of the bottle is. This makes cleaning the bottle easier. The nipple is easy to clean if it hasn't been sitting around for a while. Sometimes my husband leaves the overnight bottle out until the next day and getting the fat out of the grooves in the nipple becomes a bit of a chore. No bottle is perfect, but I'd definitely buy this bottle to use in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My baby takes it with ease despite being breastfed, and we've never had any issues with gas, reflux, or colic. She took to it right away from the very first attempt.     Great bottle that's easy to use!
    We love our Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle that we received from the weeSpring Parent Panel! weeSpring allowed me to try a bottle to make sure my baby likes it before having to buy a whole set and not be able to use them. This is music to any mother's ears! The bottle is small enough for my 5.5-month-old baby to hold on his own so that he can learn to be independent one small step at a time. Another plus is that the bottle's flow can be adjusted with adjustable flow nipples so that you don't have to buy more bottles for the next stages. Every parent loves avoiding clutter and multi-function products like the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle help that! This bottle is also very easy to clean and works great for travel!     Excellent Bottle for Both Breast and Formula Fed
    I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel to review. As a mom who was exclusively breastfeeding moving to bottle-feeding, I wanted a bottle that would help ease that transition. This bottle (the 4 oz size) was the perfect size for my 2 month old to drink from. Assembly was easy, right out of the box and after washing was ready to use. With only three parts to assemble (nipple, collar and bottle) cleaning and use was a breeze. The ergonomic shape made it nice to hold and grasp for both me and my little one. I also like that the anti-colic vent was a part of the nipple/collar design so this busy mom did not have to worry about figuring out a bunch of parts and pieces.
