Excellent trimmers
I recently received a free sample of the Philips Satin Compact Women`s Precision Trimmer for eyebrows and face in exchange for agreeing to write a review. I waited till my facial hair grew back to make sure that I would capture the device performance on camera. First, let me just say that I always have similar devices in my drawer for eyebrow trimmings in between waxing appointments; therefore, I consider myself knowledgeable about at-home eyebrow grooming. As it can be seen in the video I uploaded, the Philips Women`s Precision Trimmer does a good job getting read of the little hairs in between the brows, or how others call it: “unibrow”. Also, there are not stumps left under the eyebrows. After using the trimmers, I felt that my skin was very smooth, and there was not hair residue left behind. The Philips Satin Compact Women`s Precision Trimmer comes with a little guard to be placed on the blade if one needs to; however, I did not use the guard since I did not see a need to do so. As of now, I only used the trimmers on my eyebrows and surrounded areas to clean up underneath and in between. The parts that come with it are easy to put together. The instructions are easy to follow, but I just read the instructions to make sure that I placed the batteries the right way, which I did.

I purchased this product and it worked fine for a couple of days. However, after less than a week it completely fell apart. The top where the blade is actually melted and fell apart. I do not recommend this product.

    The best trimmer for downstairs
    I like this bikini trimmer because it rarely nicks or pulls the hair. I'm able to keep my hair at a certain length or use the foil for a smooth feeling. I have coarse thick hair and it has no problem shredding through the bush. The things I dislike is that it takes forever to charge and it wouldn't work for more than 20 mins. The battery life slowly degraded. I had recently dropped my trimmer and it stopped working so now I just purchased a new one. Hopefully this second trimmer works just as good or even better.

    Nice compact trimmer
    I have the men's version of this Philips Precision Trimmer, which I bought because I didn't want to pay extra for a pink one marketed specifically to women. However, I was fortunate to have recently received a free sample of the women's trimmer, so I was excited to compare and contrast the two and see whether I was justified in my original purchase. The women's version is elegant and slender, with a sleek, glossy white case adorned with a small metallic pink band and cap; the men's version is slim, short, and matte black. The women's version has a very small cutting blade in comparison to the men's version and does not articulate, making it somewhat more awkward to use with the non-dominant hand. Also, the women's version has one single blade, while the men's is dual-sided. However, the women's version comes with a 2 and 4 mm guide that slides on over the blade, along with a small brush to clean the blades, while the men's version lacks these accessories. In terms of trimming ability, both versions perform about the same. I didn't find that it gives as close a shave as a razor does, but it's good enough in an emergency (for instance, when you shave your legs in the morning and don't notice the little patch you missed until you got to work). Though the women's version is marketed as being for eyebrows and face, it does mention in the instructions that it can be used for the bikini area. I wouldn't dare use either trimmer on my eyebrows, but both versions of this trimmer are pretty good for getting rid of the lady mustache and little chin whiskers that crop up in between tweezing sessions. For the bikini zone, I prefer the men's version for the larger blade, articulating head, and grippier handle; the smaller blade on the women's version seems to be better suited for peach fuzz and finer hair elsewhere on the body. Overall, I don't think the women's version is worth paying more for, but it is still a good-quality trimmer.

    Works well to remove unwanted hair
    I had been looking for a easy way to remove unwanted hair from my face, particularly for my eyebrows, for a very long time and I was so thrilled when I found the Philips Precision Trimmer at my local Drug Store. My eyes have been getting bad over the years and I just couldn't see well enough any more to pluck every little unwanted hair. It was frustrating and it was making me feel older than I am. This trimmer has solved all of the issues I was having. It gets right in there and trims every one of the unwanted hairs that are easy to get at, while the precision attachment that slides along the blade making it as small, or as big as you like, permits you to shape them just how I like them. Attach the definition comb to the trimmer, and you can clean up your brows with in 4mm to 2mm, depending on how short you like them to be. It's nice and light, so your arm isn't killing you as you go through the process and it comes with a little brush so you can keep it clean. I wish it also came with a little bag to keep track of all the attachments, but it doesn't. It does take a little while to get use to using it, you have to fine what angle works best for you, and because I need glasses to see what I'm doing, this can be a bit of a challenge. It's hard to get right in there when you have glasses sitting on your nose, but other than that it works great on brows. I've also used it on my upper lip and it removed every one of the unwanted hairs just as I expected it to do. Other than getting around my glasses the only other thing I have a problem with is where to buy replacement blades for it. I sure hope they let us know soon, other wise its just going to end up in a draw somewhere along side many other forgotten objects. If you like to do your brows at home, or if you've been struggling with the chore like I was, than I definitely would recommended The Philips Precision Trimmer to you or anyone else that would like to have something on hand that can do the job quickly.

    Attractive, Compact Trimmer Great for On-the-Go!
    I received the Philips Satin Compact Precision Trimmer for free in order to provide my honest opinion – and to be honest – I was a bit skeptical at first. I have tried other trimmers in the past and they have never really done for me what they are supposed to so I inevitably would regret my decision to purchase. However, when I opened the box for the Satin Compact, I was immediately impressed. Right off the bat, the trimmer itself is very attractive. It is sleek with a pearlized white color, rose gold accents, and a great texture. In addition, everything you need to get started is in the package – including a battery! The set also comes with a variety of attachments. Still, visual appearance aside, the real test is how well the trimmer actually works at removing hair. Having said that, after using the Satin Compact for a week, I have to admit I am impressed overall. Without question, the trimmer gets my unwanted hair down to where it is definitely no longer noticeable, making it perfect for on-the-go uses. I particularly found the small blade very effective for the eyebrow area. The only drawback for me is that the trimmer is unable to get a feeling of complete smoothness with my type hair so while it will not be a replacement for my more invasive hair removal process, it is absolutely perfect for maintenance in between, as well as being a staple for traveling given its compactness and discreteness. You should note, however, that my hair growth tends to be coarse so I suspect someone with lighter, fine hair may very well be able to achieve totally smooth skin. Finally, in case you are wondering, unlike other hair removal options, using the trimmer resulted in zero pain or discomfort which of course is a huge plus! I would definitely recommend the product to friends and family.

    Best trimmer I have ever owned
    I received for free to sample and review a Philips Satin Compact Precision Trimmer for body and face. Now I am being totally frank when I state, I love this product. I have tried other trimmers in the past, but none compare to Philips!! This product works so well with removing unwanted facial and body hair. It comes with several attachments, as well as a carrying bag and brush to clean it. Its gets close and really shaves the hair in the unwanted places. I have been using this product now for over 10 days, and I love it so much that I am purchasing several of these for Christmas gifts. When a product is well made like this and really works, it has my seal of approval and I become their biggest cheerleader. Thank you to Philips for making this awesome product that I am proud to review. I love it.

    Easy to use!
    This product is GREAT for all the peach fuzz I have on the sides of my face that I used to use sissors on. Naturally the sissors did not get as close and results were not as satisfatory. This product works well on my blonde upper lip hairs as well! I am no longer embarrassed to go to the Dentist, sitting under the bright lites!
