My optometrist prescribed AREDS 2 vitamins for my eyes. I have been taking these for 3 years now. Before I began taking them, I couldn't see at night and my vision was blurry. Now I drive at night with clear vision! I'm 53 and have the beginnings of macular degeneration. It is not a cure but will keep it from getting worse. I ran out once and thought I was going blind. So I make sure I order them before I run out.

Isolated incident
Had been using this brand for a while and never had a problem until this particular bottle. Upon opening the bottle, I noticed my hand was getting slimy from removing the caps and adding them to my weekly pill holder. Upon further examination I noticed that some of the capsules were turning brown to varying degrees. The silica gel packet was stained brown and the inside wall of the bottle also had brown stains. Called the manufacturer and they told me not to use any of the capsules and asked me to return it to them so that their lab could determine a cause. They also issued a check to cover the original cost and sent federal express to my house to pick up the bottle. Bought another bottle and it was fine. As a clinical pharmacist, I believe this was an isolated incident and is not a reflection on the manufacturer at all.

    Walmart had this hard to find vitamin.
    Hard to find this exact vitamin. Walmart had at a fair price and fast delivery .

    Product is good, it's just a shame we have to order the item on line. Local store can be out of stock for several days, yet we can go on line and receive it in two days. would think Walmart could keep stores better restocked if they have the product to ship for online orders

    PreserVision AREDS is excellent for your eyes. Both my husband and me take them. We are both in our 80's. My eye doctor said my eyes have gotten better. I can read without my glasses and watch TV without glasses and I'm 80 years old! My husband has macular degeneration and it has improved his eyes. It has not gotten worse and his eye doesn't hurt when he takes PreserVision.

    Perservision was recommened by my Opthamologist. I use to take the regular formula only. Now, I decided to take the regular formula in the morning and the Multi-vitamin formula in the evening.

    Eye medication with added vitamins
    These are easy to take and I think the Preservision along with the added multi vitamins has at least slowed down my cataracts, floaters and letters that were blurred at the end of sentences.
