I've been using this for three years now since my oldest cat had kidney crystals. I couldn't afford the prescription they suggested and saw this brand had the same ingredients so I took a chance. It's been great, it does exactly what it's supposed to and now I let my other cat eat it as well. I do wish they had other flavors though like they do with the wet food. Just to switch it up sometimes, but you honestly can't beat it either way. I'd highly recommend.

it was a no for him
my cat is 10 years old and has issues with his kidneys so vet said to use urinary tract cat food. My boy just doesnt like this food. so for that i had to put 1 star. ive tried even adding a little water to soften but nope. so don't do what i did and buy and huge bag lol. try a small bag first to see how your cat likes it.

    Made my cat sick
    I nearly took my cat to the vet because of this food. I understand not all cats are like mine but he didn't eat for nearly a week straight. The other Purim's styles he loves but this one made him sick.

    My male cat had urinary problems beginning in 2014. He's been on Purina One Urinary Tract ever since. I started full strength and then currently feed one half Purina One with salmon, one half Urinary, but you would have to check with your vet.

    I am sold! My boys urine used to be so strong that I would have to scoop the pee out as soon as he would go because it smelled so bad. First full day, and I cannot smell their pee at all and have yet to acoop the box! I just wish meat was the first ingredient.

    Did the Recipe Change? October 2022 Cats Hate It.
    We've been feeding Plus Urinary Tract Health to our two indoor cats for many years. One developed bladder stones ($2500 surgery and she is okay for now) but I knew there were no guarantees. But this last bag must have a new recipe, because neither cat will eat much of it. I finally bought IAMS Urinary formula, mixed in a bit and they're both eating normally again. Once the Purina is finished, we're done with it.

    Better over other OTC for us
    We had a few on Rx Urinary and wanted to try to prevent others from having issues. We tried to increase water intake among other things. We tried other urinary formulas and we had vomit issues. This seemed to be the best happy medium. So far we haven't had additional urinary visits, but time will tell.

    Keeps my cat from reoccurring urinary infections
    After my cat came down with a urinary tract infection, he started peeing all over the house. After antibiotics from the vet, we started feeding him this food and he hasn't had another one. He wasn't crazy about this food alone so we mix it with the salmon and they love it.

    Trying this formula for newest addition to my household. She had a urinary track infection. She will let it sit for hours. Prefers water and battles with siblings for their food. Tried slowly increasing the ratio from mostly regular indoor formula. But no such luck.

    cat wont eat it, not sure whats up... noticed he had some thicker urine vet mentioned swirching him to this for a small bag or so and checking his litter box results afterwards.... 2 weeks later nearly and cat wont finish a bowl in a week I think more ends up on the floor then his diet. gonna have to go back to indoor and just get a brand thats easier on his dietary track. now I have to return some cat food.. thanks ... have a nice day...
