Great choice for the price
I have only had this for less than a month, but so far I am very pleased. The color is excellent, the picture is sharp and clear and the sound is fine. The 40" screen is just the right size for my small living room. I wasn't sure how this would be because of the lower cost but I am very happy with it.

    Do Not Purchase this television at any price.
    I absolutely hate this television set. I purchased it during the Holidays on=line because my TV died. I thought the RCA brand was dependable and the price was comparable to other brands. The remote has no numbers so a user must negotiate the extremely awkward search set-up with directional arrows and a "home" button. Sometimes the viewer must hit "home" first to simply move up or down to a new channel which I like to do during the news or weather reports. Also, ROKU wants the user to watch what it chooses rather than the preferred channel(s). I over rated it as "2" because it has a nice picture.

    Don't purchase I ordered and sent back for replacement legs defective cannot screw into base properly. This is a manufacturer defect.

    Is the sound like there's nothing and I mean absolutely nothing wrong with my TV it's not broken it's not damage none of that but my sound comes and goes as it pleases like it lives here and pay bills now I did not spend over $400 just for the TV to lose it sound for no reason at all

    Disappointed and waste of time
    Just received this tv and could not turn on the TV with the remote. changed batteries, still could not turn on the TV. Called the 1-800-968-9853 told me wait time was 20 mins, after waiting for 1 hr and 5 mins they cut me off. called back and now the recording says 1800 number is no longer in service. lousy service and sorry TV. I wouldn't recommend it.

    This is my second exchange on this tv. I have to keep unplugging it, for the sound to work. After a couple hours the sound will go in and out during a movie, all glitchy. The remote lags on sound/volume control, then sound completely stops! This is a piece. Guess you get what you pay for. So much for trying to buy an inexpensive tv. From what I'm reading now, I'm sure I will have a run around with RCA… wish me luck!

    So far, not satisfied unfortunately.
    It's day 1, TV channels are blurred, not sharp as expected, yet Netflix etc, are great. Day 2, sound is muffled and skipping and annoying. Still no sharp image. Netflix again is perfect. I will be calling tech support. I use average TV 95% of the time and Netflix sometimes on weekends.

    dont work
    i didnt like this tv because the night timer kept turning the tv off so i sent it back for replacement and the 2nd tv well normal volum sounds like it was muffled so i changed the sound to stereo and the sound keep going out,so i sent that one back for refund

    they're.....Meh
    Bought two of these for my kids rooms a week and a half ago and they are already problematic. The main issue is that sometimes when we turn it on, the volume will not work. The only way I have found to fix it is to do a full system restart. luckily it doesnt log us out of all our apps when I do it, but my kids are 5
