Very good gate, when used with rubber wall cups.
This is a good quality, solid gate. However, there is something you should know before purchasing this. Unless you install the included screw-in wall cups on your door frame, you definitely will want to buy "gate extenders" and/or wall cups with rubber pads. I bought the extenders, but only use the wall cup portion of the kit. They add a lot of stability. If you don't do this you will be frequently adjusting and tightening the gate. They cost around $10-$15. I bought one set of 4 that I use on 2 gates. You can get away with only using them on the top horizontal bar because you can tighten the bottom horizontal bar as hard as you wish. The top bar can only be tightened so much before it interferes with the latch. Also this model leaves a lot of room between the end vertical bars and the door frame. When I use the gate with the wall cups, my cats can pass right through it. This is actually a desirable feature in my case and made me glad I purchased this particular model. My other Regalo is completely cat-proof.

Didn't last two months
Bought on November 4th. Here it is not even January 4th and it's already broken. One of the screw things to keep it pushed into the wall won't stay so it has no leverage. The tiny gap between the gray thing and wall in my included photo means that every time someone opens the gate, the whole side moves and when you go to close it, it is uneven and will not latch. It has to be perfectly level to be able to latch correctly. Not a very good design. I have 4 of their other style baby gates for two years now and they are still doing good. Not to mention this one is in the laundry room, and use is minimal compared to my other ones. This one didn't even last two whole months yet. For $70, I am very unhappy and would look elsewhere.

    the gates are as described. both of the ones i bought have some minor challenges. on onevthe hinge rod didnt fit right. it reqired a hammer and some lightbtapping to get it positioned correctly. the other one has an issue with the door. at the bottom of the door, there is a piece that fits over the bottom rail to hold the door in place when closed. it is too narrow making itbtoo tight and difficult to maneuver. you don't know this until its too late. the instructions were easy to follow. both gates are up and im learning to work with their unique quirks. i assumes with use itcwill get easier

    came bent/warped at the bottom, and it is very hard to operate. opening and closing takes two hands and some maneuvering. would not recommend it.

    Sturdy, attractive gate for rescue dog transition
    Bought it to keep our rescue dog on one side of the house giving our cats time to adjust. Gate is sturdy and durable. It looks really good, too. It was super easy to put together and adjust to our doorway which is 46” wide. The gate opens smoothly and locks firmly in place when closed. It arrived here in 2 days, wow!

    Not strong enough for my tigers
    The picture shows the way my grandkids would push it out of the door frame. This gate didn't last long. It's already trashed. I have 11 grandkids, all under 8. They tore the gate down time after time. The opening was narrow. Adults were turning sideways to pass through. It could be screwed into the wall. But I didn't do that because I had only planned to put the gate up when the grandkids were at my house. Maybe screwing it into the wall would have given it more support.

    Good product, needs bigger opening
    I wish the initial opening was a bit wider for you to walk through, I have molding on the baseboards, had to install above the molding, I have a little bit of a stomach, and my pregnant wife, out stomach hits and we have little bruises. Other than that the gate is perfect
