My new favorite
This ReliOn platinum blood glucose meter is simple yet has everything you need without extra gadgets that makes them too complicated. When it comes to my blood sugar i want simple and fast checks and this has been just that. Initially you have to set up the date and time and at first i was confused due to only two buttons, but the “start here booklet” has a step by step guide on how to use the two buttons to do it. So you pretty much hold the up arrow button a bit longer when you’re ready to move to the next feature! So easy!!! Once all is set up (literally 7 seconds) you are ready to test. And again the same booklet has a step by step illustrated instructions on how to do it. The set comes with ReliOn lancing device and needles, 50 test strips, the meter and booklets, oh and a nice portable bag where everything fits in. Testing was easy from the start, and it also can be connected to the mySugr if desired, what I particularly like about it is the color line indicator if the sugar is low high or in-range. See my last picture to see how it looks when on and the colored dotted line on the right side that will indicate where the reading falls. When i tested my sugar it read it fairly fast, and a little arrow pointed to the green dots. Overall, im pleased with it and will be using it several times a day.

Everything you need in a compact kit
This ReliOn Platinum Blood Glucose Monitoring Starter Kit is everything you need for glucose monitoring, in a convenient, take-along kit. In a compact, 5.25”x3”x1.25” zippered black pouch, you get a ReliOn Platinum glucose meter, a lancing pen, a container of 50 glucose testing strips, and a small packet of lancets. I like this kit, and I use it every day, but there were just a few things that I thought could be improved: 1) the included instructions for the lancing pen were EXTREMELY tiny, requiring magnification to read. 2) The main instruction book, although thorough, is a giant fold-out sheet, rather than an actual booklet, making it hard to use when trying to find info. on it. 2) A USB-to-micro cable to download data to a PC was NOT included in the kit, but were described in the instructions.4) 3rd party software and drivers must be downloaded to your PC before you can use it for data from your meter. This was NOT noted clearly in the instructions. Now, for what I DID like about this kit: through the years, I have used several other glucose monitoring kits, and this is my favorite of them all. I love how quick it is; I get results within 4 seconds; data is automatically saved and easy to view later. I like that the meter connects via Bluetooth to an app on my phone which saves and analyzes my data. Connecting the first time was easy and straightforward, with the “Quick Start Guide.” I like that the case holds each piece of the kit firmly in place with a loop of elastic. I also like the target range indicator on the screen, showing me each time I use it – where my sample lies in the targeted range of values. The meter includes the 2 easily-obtainable CR2032 batteries. I know it's a small thing, but I really like the “eject” button for the used test strip to be discarded (rather than having to grab its wet edge). This is definitely a product I would recommend to my friends!

    ReliOn Platinum Blood Glucose Meter Starter Kit test strip is easy to use and i used it with the ReliOn Platinum Blood Glucose Meter. I love the fact that there is a wider range area where the blood can be dropped on the edge of the strip. I love the container it came in which makes storage easier. Love it and will recommend it

    I was really surprised at the great deal on this monitor set. It comes with everything you need to get started. It is ready to go when you purchase it. I had good readings on this monitor and so did my wife. We have no complaints at all.

    Effortless and Accurate
    These lancets appear to be well made. They are effortless and go easily into the blood glucose monitor. They detect your blood sugar quickly and accurately. I would definitely recommend them and the ReliOn Platinum blood glucose meter.

    I've always used this brand of diabetic supplies and they're usually around what a premium brand reads This are nice they do the trick at a fraction of the cost they go in easily they come out of the glucometer easily These are a great find

    ReliOn Platinum is reliable!
    When I opened up the package I was surprised at how small this set was, this will be easy to carry in my bag so I always can check my sugar level. The kit comes with everything you need, the glucose meter, 50 test strips, lance pen and lancets and a nice small carrying case with loops for all the pieces and a pocket for the spare lancets. The directions are simple and uses pictures to make sure it is all clear. I turned it on and made an adjustment to the time and date and she was ready to roll. The best thing about this new machine is the mySugr app. It works with Bluetooth for Apple or Google App Store and is so simple. Keeps track of all my results and I cannot wait to show my dr how good I am being LOL

    I love this blood glucose monitor! This is my first Bluetooth connectable device I've owned and I don't know that I can ever go back now. At first it looks pretty basic. I like the sleek look of the monitor itself. The testing stops are small and take a small amount of blood. I downloaded the app and as soon as I took my first reading and opened the app it automatically added my reading to my phone. It's so easy and convenient. The lancing device is my biggest issue and it's not even a problem. At setting 3 it's almost too shallow but at 4 it's too deep. Not a major problem just the only criticism I have. I really like this monitor. It seems accurate and is user friendly. Happily recommend!

    Test Strips for the Reli On Platinum Glucose Meter
    These test strips are used with the Reli On Platinum Blood Glucose Meter and are available in a container of 50 strips. The strips will always have an expiration date, which is important to note. They should not be used in any other meter. These strips are nice because they require just a small droplet of blood in order to work.

    Beginner must have
    Anyone with diabetes knows you have to keep these on hand. I have type 2 so I always have them. This starter kit is great for the new diabetic. It comes with everything you need to get started. It has a meter that is bluetooth. Thats handy to keep track of your numbers to tell your doctor at a visit and they do ask. It has 50 test strips to get you started. Sometimes when new at testing, you might have to use more than 1 strip and they get expensive. It has a lancet and 10 lances and a handy carry case. Thats good to store everything in 1 place. The directions are easy to read and understand and these are about the cheapest. A good deal for the beginner
