Didn't even last 14 months
samsung seems to be having problems with this tv. it's funny how you spend so much money on it and it goes out right after the warranty is gone. it may possibly cost as much to fix it as to buy a whole new tv! beware samsung does not stand behind their products!

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/10/2023Failed after 2 yearsPurchased this TV on Black Friday in Nov 2021 and less than 2 years later, the TV this weekend no longer turns on. Flickers but is dead and doesn't power fully on. Hard reset several times and no dice. CONS: - The software on the Samsung QLED 4K 50” has been very glitchy, often needing to restart the TV to play shows. - Lots of software update prompts and then just a spinning wheel of death where we need to hard reset (unplug for a few minutes) to restart. Very surprised by the hardware failure for a higher end TV. Unlikely to buy a Samsung again. Looking at LG, Sony, Hisense, and TCL TVs as alternatives. Interested in the new mini LED displays. PROS: - High quality viewing, however, in a new brightly lit room, difficult to watch in the daytime, images completely wash out - Works well with Sonos Atmos - Beautiful frame and hardware, worked well propped onto an easel Overall, not recommended.grehce

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/30/2021NOT BRAND NEWSo disappointed with this purchase (as with the last TV) from Walmart. I thought I was purchasing a NEW tv but got something that was either operated on or mishandled during packaging. There a signs that this was a opened box tv with multiple scratches and dents' The back was dusty or dirty as if it was sitting on a shelf before it was boxed. See pictures attached. Returning this tv in the morning.Godfrey

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/08/2021Happy Birthday to Me!We upgraded from a 42 inch Vizio to this Samsung 55 inch. It was easy to set up and has been a blast to play around with. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Nature programs are vibrant and football games are absolutely stunning. (I purchased this TV just before NFL wildcard weekend.) I haven't used the preloaded apps a lot because we use an Amazon fire stick. The Samsung remote control is very similar to the FireTV remote we have become used to, so that was nice. I was initially frustrated because I didn't see a way to select for HDMI inputs. Turns out the remote automatically connects to whichever connected device you select. Basically, this TV is smarter than I am. There is a simplicity about the TV and the remote that are aesthetically pleasing. It is easy to use and exactly what we wanted. FYI- I picked this TV up at a local Walmart store. I learned my lesson the last time I ordered a TV through the website. FedEx delivered a severely damaged TV. Walmart shipped that one in the same box you would see on the shelf and it was in really bad shape. Thankfully, I was able to swap it for another just like it at a store about 25 miles away. But I will never again order a TV from Walmart.com. In fairness, the problem seems to be more on the FedEx side, but still. Having said that, this is my third TV purchase from Walmart in the past 10 years. I am happy with the two Vizio TVs I have, and I am THRILLED with this new Samsung 55 inch QLED TV.RevStalyen

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/05/2020Great picture. Not so great set-up and apps.Pros: The picture/color quality is fabulous! The size is perfect in my living room. Cons: Set-up was stressful. I thought I would be getting rid of my Roku because this is a smart TV. That was not the case. I have a subscription to Philo and that app wasn't even recognized. It is not a straight-forward use with a Roku; so it should be fun teaching my husband how to get to his channels. Overall, it seems to be a great TV for the money.kkb1
