Great sound!
First of all, if was shipped and packaged well, to avoid breakage. The set up of the product was super easy. If you have trouble opening the battery compartment on the remote control, be sure to hold it facing you, thumb on top, and push forward. The entire top of the remote slides forward. Once it was set up, the sound quality was vastly improved. It's very adjustable, so you can easily change the treble and base of the system, to your own preferences. The bluetooth feature is really cool because you can hook up any bluetooth enabled device into it, and have it play on the sound bar. I highly recommend!

Great sound, just not very loud
Stick with me on this review and read to the end. First I have to say my 70" television has really good sound compared to many televisions on the market but it does lack the crisp voice and earth shattering explosive lows I expected with a sound bar with a sub woofer. Well, This Samsung HW-A50M delivers the crisp voice dialogue but not with the amount of volume I expected. The bass from the sub woofer is low and provides a good rumble but once again no where near theater type sound. I guess I was just expecting much more than this system can deliver. The television room is 14 x 24 so it is not a small confined space so maybe this system would be more suited for a smaller area. I will tell you that if you connect it to the television using the hdmi with arc method, the television speakers on my unit were turned off when the sound bar was on. The sound bar also turned on when the television was turned on. If connected using the included optical cable, the television speakers stay working. You may have to sync the two amplifiers together if using the television sound and the sound bar sound at the same time to avoid a echo effect.This option gave me the best outcome. The sound bar and the sub woofer did connect via bluetooth without issue. Both the sound bar and the sub woofer require a household plugin also. I did hook this unit up to a smaller television in the bedroom and it offered a much more expected amount of sound in that smaler and quieter space and that is where it stays now. If you have a Samsung television, the remote may work on both units. On the included remote for the sound bar, the buttons do not necessarly depress for the action you want but rock up or down. For me, the instructions could have been more in detail. The rear cover also fits very snug but does slide down to install batteries. This Samsung HW-A50M does have great sound, it is just not as loud as I expected it to be.

    A Soundbar That Sets The Bar For Sound Quality
    Lets begin with appearance. The soundbar along with its remote are of simple design yet modern enough to fit in virtually any entertainment system aesthetic. The soundbar itself is flat with curved corners with a solid feel that makes you comfortable placing it on any horizontal surface if wall mounting isn't an option. The remote is curved giving it a great look. It's lack of buttons is perfect for what its purpose serves. Digressing from the potatoes on to the meat: sound quality. You have not heard your favorite movies and TV shows until you have heard them through this Samsung soundbar. Airport scenes with their engine noise and open environment make you feel as though you have a plane to catch. Interrogation scenes taking place in small interrogation rooms make you feel how tense the scene is supposed to be conveyed. Background music is another detail that stands out. Re-watching some of your favorite movies presents new sounds in background music you've never noticed before. Your old movies may look the same but they will not sound the same through this soundbar. The bass really stands out during viewing. You may not expect the bass to pick up when it does however this in no way degrades your viewing experience. The treble however might. Even at max level the treble remains absent far too often. It would have been nice to have a great balance between treble and bass. Live TV is another scenario where not only the treble but the bass also seems to disappear. Regardless of what you're watching the surround sound will always be present making all viewing such a delight and making your TV speakers inferior in quality. Bluetooth is another feature that stands out. This soundbar is the easiest device that I have ever connected to using Bluetooth in my entire life. Samsung NEEDS to share their secret. One attempt, one second is all it took to connect to my cell phone and tablet. There is no use for headphones if your current activity i.e. folding laundry or cleaning is taking place in the vicinity of your soundbar. Sound quality through Bluetooth isn't the best but far superior to your television speakers regardless. Lastly, the subwoofer. It's big. It's too big. Even if the subwoofer was an inch shorter in height, width, and depth would make it easier to find a good spot for it. Especially in tighter, smaller rooms that house your entertainment section. This soundbar delivers on what these devices were made for. Set up is as easy as any other device connected to your TV. I highly recommend this product.

    Get this 2.1 Soundbar with Subwoofer!
    Let me start by saying since I am technologically challenged I waited for a friend of mine who's an audio engineer to come over and help me set this up. He did it in less than 5 minutes! Then he set it to the tv speakers which I'd have trouble doing. Before I got this I was using a very nice VIZIO soundbar with my tv but this new Samsung wireless soundbar with subwoofer blows that one in the dust! This thing is awesome and I love it! The subwoofer itself is well made, nice and sturdy and larger than I thought it'd be. The soundbar is thin and runs the length of my tv (34” length x 2” high) I've set it up on a hutch behind the tv so the sound comes from behind and above the tv. The subwoofer is behind the tv to the right and I'm blown away by the quality and clarity of the sound. The volume controls for the soundbar and subwoofer are side by side on the remote and very easy to use. The remote itself has a mute button, setting button, power button and a button for pairing it with blue tooth speakers if you should choose to do so. You can also set it for Dolby surround sound or a standard sound. I'm using the soundbar along with the tv speakers at the same time so I can mute the sound bar and still hear the tv on a lower setting if i have any interruptions. The set also includes parts to mount the soundbar on a wall if you choose. All in all, it's a great set and I absolutely love it. This also comes in higher channels than my 2.1 soundbar. I believe they go up to 4.1 channel. I'm in my early 50's and enjoy listening to hard rock and alternative music with this as well as watching movies. The movies sound great in surround sound. Every detail with a lot more clarity is heard. If anything, I wish the remote was a bit thicker. It's rather thin and hard for my old hands to hold, lol. The batteries are included for the remote though. Y'all need to get this soundbar. You won't be sorry!

    Awesome Samsung Soundbar
    I love Samsung because it's the best! The Model is #HW-A50M, which is the newest for 2021. The soundbar is 34” which is a great size. This soundbar packs a punch at 290W. The sound is very clear. I love that you can adjust the volume on the soundbar and power, especially helpful when I misplace the remote. The subwoofer is wireless which means it can be put anywhere without wires. It's 2.1 channel which means it has two regular speakers, and a subwoofer. I have a Samsung TV which made the installation super quick and easy. However, I think installation would be easy on any newer TV. My husband said the instructions were easy to follow, but I had it setup before he was done reading. Everything you need is in the box for installation. I plugged both the soundbar and subwoofer into power, then the soundbar into the optical drive on the TV and changed the TV settings to surround and it immediately started working. As soon as you plug the soundbar into power, you may want to turn the volume down because it plays music and was pretty loud. The inputs are easy to read on the soundbar. My Samsung TV remote controls the sound, so I didn't need the included remote. We had guests over and several left with the model number to buy their own. I definitely recommend this soundbar and subwoofer!

    We bought a TV that had some audio issues. Every time we try to turn it up past 30 we couldn't tell the difference and never got any louder. We purchased the Samsung surroundsound system to make our TV viewing experience better. With this sound bar and sub woofers, it's like being in the movie theater! It is very exciting to have such great quality sound with our motion pictures. I highly recommend this Samsung sound bar and subwoofer set. It is so easy to install! We had it up and going in just a few moments. It was so easy to install and the quality is amazing. Within moments, it was like we were sitting in a real movie theater. We could hear subtle sounds wouldn't even when the volume was turned down low that we couldn't hear for directly from the TV itself. It really makes every single time you watch the TV off for movie theater experience.

    Much better sound than the TV speakers provide
    I opted for the 2 speaker system as our TV room is already quite cluttered. The sound is excellent. The subwoofer provides excellent base for the low frequencies and has a separate volume control to set to your liking. It is connected via blue-tooth to the soundbar, so no wires running around the room. The soundbar will connect to your TV via blue-tooth, if your TV supports it. I discovered that my high end Vizio does not, so I connected with the provided optical cable. Then I went into settings of the TV and turned off the internal speakers. Otherwise, I would get an echo effect. I'm very happy with the full surround sound effect that this system provides.

    This system has great sound whether connected to the TV, phone or projector. The setup was easy but the instructions was a little confusing to me. Also, it was hard to remove the back of the remote to insert batteries but the surround sound is still worth it.

    Immersive, theater-like experience at home
    This sound bar and subwoofer delivers crisp, clear, theater-like sound in my home. Some things I'd like to comment about it: The packaging was somewhat awkward to carry, but I'm glad space was saved as otherwise I'm sure it would be to be packed in a very large box. The on-off display was good.  Easy to see it was on and what input was set to.  Also, the display went off so as not to detract from the view of the TV. Comparing to another high-end brand of soundbar that I own, the Samsung was equivalent and possibly better since the bass and treble could be easily adjusted. In the instructions, it would help to explain that the woofer button on the remote quickly adjusts the bass level.  Perhaps a description of each button and its symbol would help.  Also, explain the best way to slide open the remote to insert batteries.  I couldn't easily slide it using pressure on the symbol, but had to use a small blade to slightly pry (to slide) the  removable part of the case from the infra-red end of the remote. The source or input button on the remote made it easy to switch from one input to another, in case you have more than one source to monitor back and forth.  Switching from Bluetooth to Digital In was effortless. Bluetooth pairing of the sub-woofer was automatic and seamless in my case. The sound of Pandora playing from my Samsung A50 to the Samsung Sound Bar was very good. Overall, I'm really impressed with this speaker and feel like it will really add an immersive, theater-like experience to my home.

    I Love This Soundbar System!
    This soundbar system is great! It's easy to set up & very user friendly. There are multiple hdmi ports and it allows for multiple Bluetooth connections. It put out deep, rich bass notes and has an overall high-quality sound to it. Having the vocal sounds coming separately from the center of the bar distinguishes the dialogue from the background noise, keeping the vocals clear and distinct, rather than everything being loud and more muddled. A bracket & hardware set is included for those that prefer to mount the bar on the wall. I'm extremely happy with this product. I can watch movies on my tv or listen to Pandora on my iPhone with great surround sound.
