Love this Sewing Machine
I am a newcomer to sewing and this was simple to set up. I am making cuddle size blankets for my family for Christmas. I have already made 5 blankets!!! I highly recommend this machine, it's awesome for beginners!!!!

Enclose a written manual!
Machine is great for the price....BUT....does not come with a manual. Must go online! I am in my 70's.....no computer or smart phone.... No phone number to request a manual be mailed! Figured out basics but need a manual!

    I like it for the price
    I bought this in the store so it would be easy to return if I didn't like it. I chose Singer because it is a good reliable brand. It is easy to set up with the instruction sheet that came with it. I like the drop in bobbin and the needle threader feature (I even used a non Singer needle and it still worked). It is easy to use and works fine. I don't need anything fancy. It's mainly for making dog booties, mending and altering. The two things I don't like about it is that it did not come with an owners manual. I did find one online, but it didn't contain anything about stitch needle selection. I tried to search their website for more information, but they are only interested in selling. Thankfully, I still have my owner's manual from my old Sears sewing machine that I can refer to for those things, the information is transferrable. The other thing I don't like is that it is made mostly of plastic. The foot pedal is very light cheap plastic. The bobbins, feet, spindle, many things that were steel on my old Sears machine are plastic on this one. I know it will not hold up for 25 years like my old one. I am also not happy that the price dropped since I bought mine.

    Simple machine for a beginner like me
    My first machine. It came delivered in it's original box without another box to conceal it or extra protection but so far i've had it for a week and have no issues. I'm a beginner but so far I only had to watch how to thread and fill the bobbin videos to get me going. I noticed that the tightness of the stich is not as fine when the bobbin is close to finish but once refilled, stitch goes back to normal stitch consistency. I don't use the auto-threader, I still got a pretty good eye. I already turned old clothes into face masks with this machine. I'm happy with my purchase.

    Great machine!
    Great basic sewing machine! Perfect for those learning to sew or for those like me who have not sat down at a sewing machine for 15 years. It struggles through thicker elastic for masks, but I expected that from a light duty basic machine.

    Easy to use - I like it
    This machine is cute as a button and very easy to use. The online videos takes you step by step on how to thread a needle, add a button and it even goes over the different stitches. Price was reasonable. It's light and easy to carry. I'm excited about making skirts, curtains and other easy things--for now.
