Works the best for us!
We bought this gate almost 6, maybe 7 years ago now. It held up well to two rambunctious boys and a dog before it finally broke last month. We just bought the same gate because we are going to have a new baby and we have a puppy too! Lots of traffic goes through this gate every day, and it hold up well!

Stupid hardware placement
Why in the world would the manufacturers place the hardware inside the gate... It is the most difficult thing I've ever had to retrieve. I'm scraped up, annoyed, frustrated and have a baby screaming at me. Seriously, find a better way to package this thing.

    We liked it at first, until my son climbed over it!
    We loved this baby gate at first. It was great we could block off the kitchen when my son played in the living room and take it off when we needed to go back and forth in an area with allot of foot traffic. It was also short enough for us to step over it. Installing a permenant gate might have caused a trip hazard there. It was easy to use and pretty light. We even bought three more for the bathrooms. However we regret the purchase becuase one day my toddler decided to climb over it and somersaulting onto our hard kitchen floor. Luckily he landed on his back on the other side (hes fine after getting things checked) but this could have been a catastrophy. The mesh panel with holes really made it easy for him to do so. He just turned two years old, so be prepared to store this when they start to climb. Climbing Hazard for sure.

    I used my first gate outside on my deck for my Shitzu , I even got second handed it's was in the sun and weather parts of the time and was outside all the time ! I was brutal on this gate for years (like 4 years) maybe 5 ? I was the Gorilla in the luggage commercial , lol but it was this gate instead of luggage , so when recently I finally blew out the top push down lock handle with a Bruce Lee punch which was my usual closing procedure , I wasn't afraid to go out and buy another one , even though my first was still operational missing most of the handle , that looked like a grenade had went off near , so do I give it a thumbs up 5 stars OH YEAH I DO !!!

    Gate is great!
    We bought two to allow our dog to stay on our deck without leaving. Other gates bought in the past warped due to construction.

    Not suitable for us
    I rated this a 3 because I found it hard to manipulate the handle/lock.While trying to adjust the width of the gate, pulling up the handle caused the gate to move and I could never get it secure between the areas (hallway, doorway) I wanted to block off. Although it is sturdy and appealing, I ended up returning it.

    Ease of use
    I love the ease of using this gate and the multi function. It's so convenient and sturdy. You can take it off when you're moving big furnitures in and out of your home and it won't get damaged.

    Pretty good
    Gate does the job at an affortable price tag. Is a cheaper version of the " Perfect Fit " model. Opening can get trick as it does not always retract all the way.
