Great for bare spots!
I had a landscape company overseed my fescue yard. There were a few bare spots that I used this product to fill in. Works great. Make sure you follow the instructions entirely, especially keeping the seed mixture wet once you spread it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Only grew weeds. Wasted a lot of money!
We used this product on both our front and back yard. The front yard we just wanted a little more thickness to our lawn, in the back we were growing new grass. After using this product our front yard is full of weeds and our backyard only grew weeds. Very disappointed in this product. I feel like it was a waste of money, effort, and time!

    Seed does not grow
    Seed was put out as instructions said to do and not seed has grown. Despite watering and waiting for seed to grow nothing happened. Do not buy. Waste of money.

    The product is great but the Scotts spreader they recommend sucks. I applied the three in one seed recommended on the instructions with the Scotts spreader but I could not see that the spreader was dumping a stripe right in front so now my lawn has green dark lush stripes.

    Better than I ever thought possible
    I live in a condo development where they hired a landscaping company to mow and treat my lawn. Not happy with the results, I decided to treat the lawn myself last spring in early April using Thick R Lawn. Not bragging but my lawn was clearly the best looking and healthiest lawn in our development. Be careful not to over spread and apply just before or after a gentle rain.

    It Looks Like a New Yard
    Our yard was an embarrassment before ... mostly bare spots of dirt, with sparse clumps of grass here and there, and plenty of bare spots for weeds to grow. A month after laying down this product, our yard is lush and dense, with no bare spots at all, and far fewer weeds trying to grow.

    I'm really impressed
    I used the scotts turf builder about a month ago and I'm really happy with the results. There is so many bare spots in my yard because of high traffic and this helped a lot. It made my grass look more green and healthy and even though there is still spots without grass, they are smaller and less noticiable. It is really easy to use but you do have to remember to keep your lawn moist for it to work.

    Thick and Green
    You gotta Love Scotts - all of their products work great, but this is by far my favorite! This is a one step solution to get your grass back to being green and Thick without having to do multiple steps and applications. We added a cement patio to our backyard in the middle of the summer, we had to dig up the area that the pad which never works to be just "That" area. Being that it was the middle of the summer it takes alot more time to get the grass to grow let alone be thick. Scotts Thick R Lawn made it easy and we were able to enjoy our patio with beautiful green thick grass surrounding us.

    Works very well
    Scotts Turf Builder works awesome. I planted this grass around the front of my house where I needed new grass to grow and also in spots throughout my front yard where I would like it to be thicker. The grass grew fast and beautifully green. There are NO weeds, the grass is very healthy as you can see in my pictures. Everyday it looks better and better. This is perfect for where I have it as some parts are shady and some parts are sunny - it worked in both places. I highly recommend this perfect seeded formula!

    This had made a huge difference in our yard! It's brilliant green right now and the rest of the neighbor's lawns are looking pretty sad. Couldn't be easier to apply and everything works together in one product. We live in the Colorado mountains and it's suited just right for our cooler temps.

    My law needs help the are some bald patches from my dad storing his car here . The Scott's Thick'r Lawn worked perfectly on it Its a shaded area but it is bringing it back to life I have noticed really green grass coming through. It started to grow pretty fast and it was so easy to use.
