Amazing storage!
I got the Seagate expansion desktop to free up space on our home computer and safely store important files, documents and photos to. It was extremely easy to set up within seconds my home PC found it and recognized it. Comes with multiple plug in outlets instead of just the standard outlet. Its portable and small so it doesnt take up to much space in your desk area. When not in use can easily be stored away for safe keeping without the hassle of worrying about loosing everything if your computer should ever crash. Great for gamers, business and home use.

    Great buy
    Great hard drive. It will take me a long time to fill this up, but gave me no trouble with install. No trouble dragging and dropping photos, easy access. Running perfectly, and safe and secure. I cannot recommend more.

    It works excellent
    I'm a Linux user, It's shipped formatted NTFS. I'm a Seagate fan I have several others a 4tb and a 2tb. I just bought a windows pc so this is for the ability to store and retrieve between the OS's. My only disappointment it requires an AC adapter. As far as purchase and shipping excellent recieved at home same day.

    Recommend for sure! Easy setup!
    I am a streamer and this came in so handy. I ran out of internal space from everything you need as a streamer. This has made stream and having more things downloaded that is completely needed!

    I like it because I have an earlier model so it's not complicated. the only problem was the start-up seagate menu didn't load, but I know how to use it.

    Good HD but with wrong connecting cable.
    I was disappointed to find that the wrong connecting cable was in the package. It included a USB A to C cable instead of the required USB A to micro B cable. I hope this problem is a one-off and not a system wide manufacturing problem for this model. I contacted Seagate about this issue and is working for a resolution. To purchase the proper cable would cost at least $10 which would add to the cost. For the additional cost, I could have purchase a higher capacity HD instead. Otherwise, the hard drive works well. The drive is as described. Very nicely packaged. It came with the backup software and an assortment of international power adaptors for the power supply so this is obviously an international export model.

    Extremely pleased!
    This is my second 8Tb Seagate expansion drive. If they weren't a good product, I wouldn't have made the same mistake twice. EASY to use, even for anyone who isn't a computer nerd. EVERYTHING is included in the box to make it work. All that's required is a USB port on the unit in which you're plugging it in. Even the backup software is included.
