Was a nice rod. Had a good feel to it.
This rod had a great feel to it. Well balanced. It easy to detect the slightest crappie bite. I caught quit a few crappie with it. Only thing is that i set the hook on a 15 inch crappie and the rod broke in half. Don'tknow what happened. Don'want to talk bad about rod. Cause it was nice crappie rod.     Crappie Hunter is a great rod!
    great rod! not too flexible. the real seat needs slight re-enforcement ( black electrical tape) because i use it for heavy fishing like a salmon rod. i actually use it for catfish and casting lures far. works great i bought it to supplement for a salmon rod. i also have a 9 foot. had to by the 12 foot becuase thbe 9 foot was sold out. didnt think so many rookies were going to get up in the water. now i can fish over their heads with the 12 foot, they already think the 9 foot was too long. been doing this for years, i do not like rods under 7 foot. the CRAPPIE HUNTER IS THE GO-TO IF YOU NEED A FILL IN FOR THE SALMON ROD IF YOU CANT FIND ONE. ( i use the rod in a unconventional manner, Shakespeare company would be impressed to see it used this way) also the 9 foot i had for 3 years and it never broke, i hook carp on it. the rod holds 10lb test! i will be using it for light fluke fishing this week.

    Great for spider rigging.
    Good rod a great price. The rod has enough backbone to easily lift crappie into the boat. Not Flemisy.

    Light weight, durable and sensitive
    I own about 100 crappie rods and this is my rod of choice. I use the 9 and 12 footers for pushing, dipping the edges and slow trolling. The only weak link is the tip top but I have a pile of more heavy duty ones and it only take a few minutes to replace them. I love these rods.

    Shakesphere never lets me down!!!!
    Although I am a Charter Boat Captain and fish saltwater for a living my true love of fishing is from my roots of crappie and bream fishing and I do this every chance I get. Got into spyder rigging for crappies not long ago and was overwhelmed by the rods on the market.
