    Highly recommend as a starter rod
    Purchased one of these sometime around 2020 when I picked up a kayak and started fishing for the first time. Little long for the sit inside kayak but man I've caught at least 500 Pennsylvania bass, perch, catfish, rockbass and some lil bluegill fellers over those two summers on this thing. My biggest probably around 4.5 lbs. Took it down to NC to fish the brackish water of Cape Fear river near Wilmington and caught some black drum and sheepshead. Dropped it in freshwater a few times but the bearing still sounding good, it's eaten some sand and dirt as well. Highly recommend as a starter rod that can last you at least a few years. It's already paid for its self 10x.

    Bad Reel - doesnt spin
    The reel is very hard to spin. seems defected. I was really looking forward to using this. Seems Like I will need to order a new reel. Rod looks okay. I just have to wait to get another reel for it.

    Unacceptable Packaging
    Shipping was terrible. Box was torn apart and I didn't know if all the poles were there or if any of them were broken. However, love the poles.

    bends180 degrees like it's nothing. very sensitive
    I love ugly sticks. this one is a bit small, however, I usually fish small rivers and creeks thus it's actually pretty great.

    So far so good.
    Arrived in good time. Very little required to get a hook in the water (comes without line). I've caught several large mouth bass with it so far. Seems like the right strength and quality for a newbie hobbiest angler.

    I love it
    I used my ugly stick yesterday and had a I’m I’m a beginner caster. Didn’t catch any fish but I had a great day fresh water fishing. Everything fit comfortably. It was designed for me. I had my friend who is a seasoned fisherman help me with the size.
