Love the large numbers!
I love the fact that the numbers are large and my nearly blind eyes can see the numbers easily even with my glasses off in the middle of the night. Plus the fact, that even though the clock comes with directions, it is so easy to operate that you don't even need to read the directions, like I didn't do and did just fine setting everything. It was so easy to get the clock out of its cardboard packaging, plugging it in and setting the time, that it only took about a minute. That's it! Easy Peezy! Learning to set the alarm takes just a little bit longer but still easy. You can adjust the brightness of the numbers, bright and dim, just two settings. Pictures included so you can try and see the difference in brightness. Honestly, not too much of a difference. It is bright enough to see the numbers easily but not overly bright where it lights up the room. While setting the time, the numbers only go in one direction, so if you pass the correct minute or hour then you keep moving forward until you get the correct time, no going backwards. Regarding the alarm, it does have a large snooze button at the top of the clock. There is also a low and high setting for the alarm volume. Again, not too much of a difference between low and high. In my opinion, if you are a very sound sleeper and tend to sleep through an alarm, then there's a good possibility you won't hear this alarm. I do have good hearing so I feel like I'm a good judge of the alarm volume. It is not one of those extremely loud and obnoxious sounding alarms. That may work for some people and not for others. At least it won't scare you out of your bed.

I like the big display, but has wiring issues
I like being able to see a digital display from across the room, but the unit I received has wiring issues. You have to press and hold the dim light in order to get the high contrast to work. Otherwise, the low level looks exactly the same as the high level. It won't stay bright unless you hold it, which kind of isn't convenient at all. And whatever is coating this is already peeling off (see pic with arrow pointing to a dime-sized bubble). So, quality-wise, this is closer to a Dollar Store type of alarm clock than a $20 alarm clock. I can't recommend this. Sorry. You might get lucky and get a better functioning one, though.

    Huge display
    This alarm clock is great. Its not complicated to set or use, the buttons are easy to find, and the best part is that the display is huge so now if I wake up in the night I don't have to put on my glasses or blind myself with my phone to see what time it is!

    Good large display
    I know we all have a cell phone that always displays a time. But if you are like me and have to wear glasses, that is something that you don't wear to bed. So having this large display is very nice for waking in the middle of the night. It is very helpful for me.

    Large display and swivels
    This solid silver Sharp digital alarm clock has a nice feature of a swivel display. The digital display is nice and big and can been easily seen from across the room in the daytime. There is a dimmer feature on the back and I found that even on the dimmest setting, it was entirely too bright for my sleeping preference. I had this clock on the nightstand next to my bed and it was so bright and it also had a low frequency buzzing sound! I moved it to a table about 10 feet from my bed and couldn't hear the noise any longer but the brightness was still too much for me. The body is painted silver and not very well coated, making it look cheap. Since having to place it so far from my bed, it wasn't useful for an alarm clock (I'm a snoozer button person in the morning Ü), so I decided to put it in our guest room and use it in there instead. I did like that the controls for setting the time/alarm was very streamlined and simple to use. But, if you need total darkness when sleeping, this clock is not for you.

    Economical alarm clock
    It is a low cost clock, so it's not made as well as say my Sony clock, but it won't cost as much either. The buttons and materials feel like they could break easy. However it does have a nice big display that swivels (nice) and it keeps time and alarms, i.e. a low cost functioning clock. My daughter wants to take it from me because of the display size. It plugs in, but also has a battery backup which is a nice feature, but I haven't lost power to test that feature yet. One down-side is the buttons to operate and set the alarm on and off are on the back of the clock. Snooze button is on the top, but to actually turn it off you need to reach to the back of the clock. It has a dimmer switch for the display but I wanted the large and brighter display so it did not have to be right next to the bed. You have a choice of low or high volume for the alarm. Telling the time, having power backup, and large bright display that swivels makes this a good usable clock, but it is cheaper so the materials may not last as long as a more expensive clock. It's a value saving choice and great for someone needing a larger, brighter display. This one has the red display.

    Bright and Loud
    I got this clock. The otherI got the Sharp digital alarm clock and I am very impressed with the product. I really like the Jumbo display that allows for darkening or brightening. The alarm is adjustable volume which is a plus. It also allows the user to swivel the alarm 90 degrees. In the situation thoughts out it offers a backup battery alarm. I would highly recommend.

    I can now see the time from any part of the room! I am using my clock in the living room. I have a battery operated mantel clock, but it runs on a battery and the face is difficult to see from across the room. The set up is easy peasy. Included is direction pamphlet that covers every function of the clock. PM on the clock is displayed by a red dot to the upper left of the time. It's all in the directions. You will need to purchase a backup battery which is not included. That's next on my list of things to do.

    This clock is so easy to set the time and alarm compared to others I have used. The numbers are big and tou can choose to dim the brightness if you want. You can use a battery if you want to and it swivels. Also you can choose if you want to alarm to be low or loud.

    Sharp LED Digital, Swivel Base Alarm Clock
    I didn't realize just how much I missed having a good ole alarm clock until I received this. When my other one finally gave out I just never replaced it, because even though I no longer work, I would have early Doctor appointments so I would just rely on my phone's alarm to wake me. Though it's not always reliable since I may not always hear it going off. Besides I've always been the type to want a backup plan and this alarm clock is just thing. It's the perfect size. Small so it doesn't take up a lot of room on my night stand and since it's compact, makes it easy to pack for when you travel yet don't let the size fool you. The alarm is loud and powerful. The numbers are large therefore making it easy to read, especially at night, but not so where it interferes with your ability to sleep. So far it seems to keep accurate time and the alarm goes off without fail. The quality of the clock is well made and sturdy. I love the swivel base thus enabling you to move it to the left, the right or dead center without moving the entire clock itself. I highly recommend. It's definitely worth it.
