Nice Clock
I received the Sharp Mint QA Alarm Clock and it is nice. The alarm clock has a nice sleek design. The alarm clock is also very compact and will fit any small space. I like that is a clock in an analog version, you don’t find as many these days. I also like the backlight feature when turning the alarm off. This clock is battery operated. Another great feature is the alarm gets progressively louder the longer you let it go. There’s no way you won’t hear this alarm. The alarm goes for 4 minutes before it shuts itself off. This is such a throwback to my childhood alarm. I really enjoy using this alarm and also traveling with it. I would recommend this alarm clock to anyone looking for cute yet reasonable proceed alarm clock, it’s well worth it.

Not well made
The Sharp Quartz Analog Alarm Clock was something we were looking forward to getting, but when it arrived, it was quite a disappointment. The clock seems to work wel, and the grauated alarm works - it starts off quietly, and then picks up speed and volume the longer it goes. There is a combo snooze / light button on top of the clock, which makes hitting the snooze easy enough, and same for the light. Our disappointment came when we inspected the back of the unit. The back has the single AA-battery compartment door, a slider switch to turn the alarm ON/OFF, and a recessed area with 2 stems - one for setting the time, the other for setting the alarm. The unit we received has the stem for setting the alarm too far recessed and off center, making the stem difficult to grab in order to turn. The only way I can do it is to use long-nose pliers, and let's face it, the last thing you want to carry around on a trip is a set of long-nose pliers just to set the alarm time. The 2nd photo shows the stem off-centered and too deeply recessed. If there was any Quality Control measures at the manufacturer, this unit should never have gotten through to a store shelf. All-in-all, a great disappointment to us and we'll be looking to purchase a different travel alarm clock as this one is not very useful.

    Tick-tocking lullaby.
    Not everyone wants a silent clock! I was specifically looking for a clock that does a ticking sound because I like hearing it while falling asleep. It's a good looking, sharp clock. Good night!

    Just inspect it before you toss the box.
    Firs off it's cute. My light worked. One AA battery and I was ready to go. The time was super easy to set and I thought I was good. I didn't set my alarm the first couple uses so the box got tossed. Well now I am stuck. The alarm knob on the back of mine is off center (*will add photo) so it makes it a little more difficult to set than a sleepy me wants to fool with. (I can't get to the knob to turn it) It's also a little louder than I expected. However I haven't had an actual clock (and not a phone) by my bed in years. So it might just be me being sensitive to the second hand clicking. I also know you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap clock… you get one. Just keep the box if you go this route and make sure you can exchange it if the knob if off center.

    Awesome for your teen or college kid
    The Sharp Quartz Analog Alarm Clock is a huge lifesaver. We each have one now. Since our electric flashes quite a bit I thought it was an awesome idea to have an analog clock that runs off if batteries. The Sharp Quartz Analog clock uses 1 AA battery. The face is huge and easy to read. There's also an on demand backlight so you can touch it and see the numbers in the dark. My daughter uses her clock daily for school and work or even volunteering hours. Her phone alarm isn't loud enough for her. The Sharp clock is. Also, with the plug in alarm clocks and electric flashes we are resetting clocks constantly. This helps out so much. My daughter even took her clock with her to Summer camp this year.

    Cute clock.
    I really like the Sharp Quartz Analog Alarm Clock. It is small enough to take less room one's night stand yet large enough to be easily seen. I like the fact that there is no light shining from the clock until the snooze button is pressed. It keeps good time and the alarm works well and is accurate. There is one thing that could be a lot better. The buttons to set the time and alarm are very small and set in a recess that is a little deeper than the buttons are tall which makes them quite difficult to turn. Another aspect I like is the much quieter tick tock than other analog clocks I have used in the past.

    Small and Sharp Alarm Clock
    So many great features in a small package. This Quartz Analog alarm clock has a large dial for easy reading, a gentle ascending alarm that does not startle you, a convenient backlight at the press of a finger on top and requires only one "AA" battery (not included). Best and dependable little clock, 3 1/8" wide by 3 1/2 " high. Accurate in keeping time and has never failed to work properly.

He especially likes it though because the numbers are bigger and he can easily read the time off the analog clock. It's a nice small size as well and fits on the bed frame or the nightstand which is convenient so he can have it in arms reach while only needing one hand to handle it. It's also great because it only requires 1 AA battery, unfortunately it isn't included though. Overall, I would recommend. This would also be great for a child learning the analog clock!

    Compact, Power-Outage Resistant, No Night Light
    This alarm clock is small and very efficient, requiring only 1 AA battery. If you're trying to minimize lights at night while you sleep, this is perfect as it's not producing light. If you need to see the time at night, you simply press the snooze button on the top. The alarm itself is enough to wake you but not so obnoxious that you're immediately irritated. It will get progressively louder if you don't turn it off. All in all, an excellent alarm clock and well worth the piece of mind if you live in an area where power outages occur.

    Great for outages
    The Sharp quartz analog alarm clock comes in handy for a few reasons. Easy to read dial is very nice because in the mornings before we put our glasses on, it's easier to read the dial. We live in the forest so the power goes out quite often so having an alarm clock that requires no electricity is a must. We always have batteries on hand and this clock ensure we get up. As we age, it's harder for us to get up so the ascending alarm volume is very nice! The compact size makes it perfect for trips as well, even over night as we are hiking. Overall I recommend this clock! Especially if you have frequent power outages.

    Perfect Size For Traveling!!
    Great little clock! The Sharp Quartz Analog Alarm Clock is lightweight and portable. I like the easy to read clock face and the simple style. Very easy to set the time and requires only one "AA" battery. The Alarm sound is loud and clear. I really like how the sound gets louder the longer it rings. I had no trouble waking up to this alarm. I also like the snooze and backlight features. Perfect size for traveling. Reliable and durable. Love it!!
