Should Work Fine
It wasn't difficult to install. Instructions suggest a 3 inch overlap on top for a seal. The room mine is in won't be heated and so wanted a layer of insulation on the outside of the tank. I would suggest measuring your tank and trimming the blanket first. Unless you have an 80 gallon tank there will be extra material left over. And if you have an 80 gallon tank then openings for fittings and lines will be about it. Triangular cuts around the top piece will let it fold over the edge or just trim it be be flush with the tank's diameter.
