Broke on first use.
Broken already. Not happy. Toggle switch “A” has already come out of its mounting.
Between my broken transmitter and a UMX Timber that will NOT fly straight, regardless of CG or battery placement or trim settings, this was a terrible $400 jump into a hobby for which I had such high lifelong hopes. Also had to wait all summer for these, as I know demand is high. I really hope this wasn’t a refurbished/returned transmitter - it shipped with not all of those thin plastic shields that I saw on other unboxing videos.
AAA battery life was short as well - only lasted about a half hour as I set up my plane’s DR and Expo, then threw a warning on my 2nd flight.
Overall - not happy with anything except my 2s LiPo batteries. Hard to mess that up...

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/08/2023Great 1st transmitter!I just recently bought the Habu STS RTF, UMX Pitts S-1S, and Arrows Bigfoot (Not all at one time) and wanted to upgrade from the DXS and saw this as the cheapest GOOD option. I highly recommend this a a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or any number transmitter.Ryder

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/29/2022Liked it so much I bought it twiceI had the DX6e a few years ago but I sold all my rc equipment. I got back into the hobby and bought one again in 2021 when I got back into the hobby. Easy to program now and can download models right to the radio. The only thing is that I wish I bought the DX8e.George

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/18/2021Super good it has its flawsI bought this transmitter so I could have all my planes on one transmitter. It has performed great and is easy to use but in cold weather the lcd display freezes and you can’t see anything on it. Not really a huge deal but something to watch out for if you live in a cold climate.Miles

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/28/2020Good value for a solid radio but limited if you plan to fly more technical aircraftIt fit my needs, I'm a casual flyer, not into stunts or 3D just more scale flight. It is easy to use, smooth and with many profiles already to just download on a computer and then stick on a micro memory card and load into radio can not really get easier. Looking back, I was not sure if I'd enjoy this activity as much as I am now and did not want to spend more than needed. With 6 channels you can do pretty much MOST of what you need. Limits, you find out maybe I should have spend the bit extra for 8 channel. Why? Few things, say you want to have reverse like with a plane on floats, very hard to do with 6. Another, several planes needs 7 if you wanted to add flaps (Carbon Cub S series as example) and many EDF planes need 7 or 8 when add in things like landing gear retracts. As is tho I fly a UMX Turbo timber and a Maule M7 and this radio is perfect for both. So if you think you may need or plan to go with more features on a plane then I'd go 8 or more channel. If your doing general flying this is just fine. It has decent beep tones for things like timers and such. The display is good and I have poor vision and can read it. Not heavy and with decent NiMH AA rechargable batteries your in good shape (I bought a 8 pack of rechargable energizer 2300 mah, uses 4 at a time). I'd suggest getting a neck strap for this or any radio really. Will also want a mem card like digital cameras use, I got a simple Sandisk MicroSd 8gb with adapter for updating and plane profiles.Trukntigger
