Not a good choice for normal uses.
Never expected to write a negative review on something so simple and basic as an everyday index card. But therein lies the problem. These are NOT your normal, everyday index cards. The weird coloring of the lines is off-putting, hard on the eyes. They're not the usual light blue with a light red top line. The lines on these are black with a double-thick black top line. I found it difficult to use them when writing with a black pen or marker. When I had such disappointing results with black ink, I tried writing on them using red and then blue ink, but even then, whatever I wrote seemed to be consumed by the black lines and difficult to see. These would certainly not be a good choice if using for recipes or if using to plan an oral presentation -- way too hard to focus the eyes. (Maybe it wouldn't be quite so bad if the line spacing was wider instead of college- ruled, but in this form whatever you write just gets gobbled up on the card.) These cards must have a use for some people or they wouldn't be manufactured (the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1), but they're definitely not for me. While it's not worth the money and effort to return them, I would NEVER buy them again.
