WiFi configuration don't work
The Ethernet ports work good. However, the WiFi configuration won't work. After correspondence with support finding out this is a "special" edition, advised to exchange for an "universal" model. Unless you are fine with the wired connection and don't intend to use WiFi, this is a major waste of time trying to figuring out the WiFi admin web page login.

    Great purchase!!!
This works so much. I hooked it up a wifi box because my parents changed the wifi password and this really worked and till this day it's still working. Very good experience.

    Great router for the price
Needed a new router in a hurry, so I picked up this one. I can connect everything to it, except Chromecast. But thats not a big deal, because since my dad passed away over a year ago (2020), we haven't used the Chromecast much anyway.

    TP-LINK TL-WR841N N300 Wireless Router
Excellent bargain at $27. Worked immediately. Performed as promised. It came with "Wired" and "Wireless" set-up instructions, but I didn't use them because my laptops and desktop recognized and tuned in to the wireless and Ethernet signal as soon as I turned it on. The main problem with the TP-LINK is that you can't get to the web site that they indicate for configuring this router. But I didn't have to, because my computers recognized the signal immediately.

    I love this router
I love this router for the price. It seems to work excellent without any problems. I bought two to extend my wireless network out because of signal. After installing it as a bridge I notice the speed only cut back by a few mbps, but when it was installed on a lan cable it gets as much speed as the main router without any problems anywhere. I would recommend this to anyone. I love both of them. The only reason I bought two is because I have gaming children and this way the would connect to their own routers without bothering the other ones speed. There has been no lagging since.

Awesome router, great price, runs DD-WRT
This router is rock-solid and an excellent deal. The best part is that it runs runs DD-WRT flawlessly, and for anyone in the know, that is one of the *best* features of any router out there. See http://www.dd-wrt.com for the information on what that is if you don't know; basically, it's a replacement firmware for the router that offers a TON more features and really unlocks every feature that this router is truly capable of. The first thing I did when I unboxed this router was flash the DD-WRT firmware on it, and it's been perfect ever since. If you're looking for a great bargain on a Wi-Fi router with a strong signal, especially one that supports the new 802.11ac signal, this is it. Two thumbs up. Super easy to set up.
Super easy to set up. I did not use the included set up disk. I hooked my laptop to one of the Ethernet ports and accessed the TPLINK website. Literally in less than five minutes, I had wireless. All of my devices including smart phones, tablet, laptop and computer connected quickly without a problem. Coverage is good throughout the house and back patio. Great router for the price.

Simple and functional, big WiFi range.
Has very simple web interface without unnecessary graphical effects. Has simple and very common set of settings. If internet is provided via DHCP (through a cable modem, for example) no setup is necessary. It just works. WiFi range is relatively big: within an apartment I don't see any signal attenuation. It has two nonremovable antennas, uses 9V DC power supply, has an installation CD. But I have no idea what's on this CD as I use Linux. Didn't find any drawbacks yet.

    A great router for beginners
This is an outstanding value for the person/family who have limited funds but need the capability to many items. The 300 Mbps supports effectively a wireless desktop, laptop, tablet, dvd and Roku with little or no loss picture or data. Additional it supports a wired computer and National Consumers Panel support device again with little or no data or transmission speed. The installation is quick and easy, however the mini dvd disk might give your CD-Rom a fit. In addition to installation, the disk contains a full PDF manual with added features for the experinanced IT person.
