Liquid application
I received the Tevrapet Activate II four month supply of the flea and tick liquid medicine. This medicine is in four tubes and has liquid inside that you apply to your dog. Please note, this is NOT for cats. I like that this kills fleas, flea eggs, ticks and also mosquitoes! I like the added mosquito protectant in this. It lasts for one month with one application. Make sure your dog is sitting or standing and apply the product starting at the neck. Put a few drops from the collar down to the tail all the way. Please know to hold this product upright and then cut off the top. I thought there was another tube inside it, but there is not. I poked a hole in one of them and product came out. So make sure to hold up right and then cut the top with scissors and then apply to your dog. I like that this is a monthly supply and it was pretty easy to do. I did not notice any strong smell even when I got it on my hands. So I like that it product protects yet does not have harsh smells. It is also like a clear thick liquid, not to bad to apply. Just don't apply so much that is drip off your dog.

It's good
I got this flea and tick prevention for my great dane. My dog is weighs way more than the 55 lbs, but it does seem to be working. Although it hasn't fully gotten rid of all the fleas, my dog now scratches way less now. Hopefully with a few more treatments and it will clear him all up. I recommend dog owners to try this. Way more cost effective than other brands.

Excellent Flea & Tick Repellent for Large Dogs
We camp often with our dogs in areas where there are mosquitoes, horse flies, fleas and ticks. Normally, we buy a collar but have noticed it doesn't work as great. The latest batch had made our dog sick! So we decided to use this monthly treatment by Terapet Activate II. I was skeptical at first because it sounded too simple. The package comes with four tubes (one for each month). You apply the liquid from the tubes to your dog's skin. It was easy to do. The dogs weren't freaked out by the process either. I was afraid it would have a nasty, chemical smell, but it smelled fine. We went camping in Utah, Idaho and Tenessee while we were visiting family this summer. We had even played in a lake. I was expecting the repellent to de-activate after they went for a swim, but it was fine. Each time the dogs came back tick-free, zero bites, and very happy! It's crucial to protect your dogs, especially from fleas and ticks. This is an affordable flea and tick repellent product that works great on large dogs, even ones with very thick fur. I've read it also kills their eggs as well.

    Great tick repellent
I am amazed how well this Activate II works on my dogs. For some reason my dogs pick up ticks out of our backyard even though we spray for them. I simply took one tube for each application on my dogs and applied it directly to their skin with skin contact on each dog. Applying Activate II was easy on my dogs and it did not smell like a poison. The little tubes are a little bit hard to open but were easy to hold in my hand and apply to the skin of my dogs. Within a day the ticks were gone from my dogs. I also noticed that the mosquitoes will not go near my dogs anymore. I am not sure what the magic trick is to keeping the mosquitoes and the ticks away but I am very happy to be using Activate II with my dogs. I plan to continue to use activate to for future applications.

    easy to apply
The tubes are not like the individual plastic tubes I have used before. These tubes are molded (see pic). To open, separate the individual unit along the dotted line (see pic). Then cut off the tip. The liquid is inside each unit. The applicator tip is easy to cut off the tip and allow to slowly drip onto the dog's skin. The box says to gently squeeze the tube to drip the liquid onto the dog's skin in 3 - 4 spots from the base of the neck to the tail. For dogs that are older than 7 weeks of age and weigh between 21 and 55 pounds. This box contains a 4 month supply. The box contains 4 tubes - enough for 4 months. The tubes are not refillable, so this is a one-time use application tube. Each unit is 3" long x 1/2" wide. With scissors, snip off the tip of the tip of the tube-shape prior to application. My neighbor loves this product for her 1-year-old, longer haired dog and says it is very effective - especially given that we have a lot of trees and mosquitoes in the area and her dog loves to explore. Our Border Collie has no problems with her hair getting in the way of applying drops.

A less expensive alternative to name brands
When you live in the South in the heart of Flea Country, you go through a lot of flea products. Not all flea products work here. Fleas are immune to Frontline and other products have to target the full cycle of the parasite to have a chance at effective. Usually cheaper products don't work at all or only last a week or two. I've seen some reports of some burning their dogs skin! Thankfully even with my dogs sensitive skin, this did not burn or even irritate it. The smell is very low odor comparative to the other brands and isn't as oily. The product is effective at keeping our mutant fleas at bay. The real test will be during the summer in full flea swing. However, I believe it will hold up. The only complaint I have is the packaging. There is no snap off tops on these. You have to cut them off which can cause the chemicals to get on whatever you to open it.

Works as advertised as far as I can tell
We did not have a flea infestation to start and so far we still don't. My biggest concern is ticks and mosquitos, and we're not seeming to have an issue. My dogs do go outside and walk among tall grasses and plants, so the "no ticks" part is important. I'm not thrilled by the packaging - see pic - it's a bit like a blister pack with liquid in it. But there's plenty of liquid for large dogs. Leaves a wet trail down the dogs spine just like the name brand. When cutting the "tube" open, I suggest trying to round the corners a bit, as I accidentally scratched myself and my dog with the sharp corners created by a straight cut. So this requires a little different technique for application than the name brand "tube" but it's not too much trouble.

    Works well!
I waited awhile before reviewing this product to get a real good idea on whether it worked or not on my pet. I have a 48 lb boxer mix and I live in south Florida. This time of year we see an abundance of fleas and I have her at the dog park everyday. I applied the product behind her ears, on her neck as instructed. She didn't seem to mind it and easily went about her day. She had been doing some intermittent scratching but within a couple of days, I no longer saw her affected by any itching. As the month went on, it continued to do its job - no fleas, no scratching!! Good product!!

    Works great
The TevraPet Activate II Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs 11-20 lbs, 4 Monthly Treatments Is amazing. I have 2 small French bulldog's that desperately needed flea treatments. To start I would highly recommend if you have multiple dogs to not put this product on them until night Time. The reason for this is I have found that if I do it during the day and the dogs play they've a tendency of biting each other on the neck and could possibly get the product in their mouth. The treatment itself is extremely easy to put on the animal. It is as simple as opening the package grabbing your dog and put it on the back of their neck. Each treatment lasts for about a month. That is highly recommended that you put this on after giving your dog a bath. I will definitely be getting these in the future. Highly recommend to anyone with a small dog.

    Works nicely
I have 2 chihuahua and 1 dachshund, and they get covered in fleas in Texas year round. Im not one to buy flea medication that I havent tried because, lets face it, who likes wasting money. When I was able to review this, I jumped at the opportunity. Our dachshund has at least one tick a day after his adventures. Its been 1 week since i applied this stuff. Im glad to say, they are flea and tick free! Ill definitely be buying this for them on a monthly basis.
