Note of experience
This is great tool for what I needed. Young puppy control. Just my though: I will say when purchasing fully think through your need. As time went on I realized a better gate was one that had a door to go in and out without removing the entire gate.

Does NOT come with hardware!!
Garbage. 3 weeks and was broken. Purchased online as I live an hour plus from my nearest Walmart. Description says hardware for hanging was included. NOT. Used anyway as it was needed, as a pressure mount. But within a few weeks, the locking bar broke. Cheap plastic. Is getting returned. Buying another one elsewhere

    Good product arrived dirty
    The gate is great, just what we needed. However it arrived absolutely filthy! We had to hose it down and wipe it clean before we would even consider using it.

    Sturdy and Affordable
    I love it! It is super easy to open and close. We installed it so that it is hinged. We are able to open it and swing it up against the wall going up the stairway if we choose to leave it open. It is a great way to block off the stairs. I was surprised at how nice it was for the price. It is a very sturdy gate and even the 6 year old can open and close it easily.

    Ok but tough to lock
    I bought this as well as the position & lock tall gate and I much prefer it. It may just be the size of the opening (but it's standard so..?) but it's hard to lock into place. The plastic is sturdy but so fustrating to get to lock in place. Do yourself a favour and get the wooden tall position & lock gate.

    fits the opening well
    It seems a bit flimsy compared to others I have, the plastic is lighter. There is also a bit of a learning curve to latch and unlatch it. Overall I like that its a one-step adjustment.

    Sturdy and will last for years.
    This will fit a stairway and a hallway. We use it to keep our fur baby from going upstairs when no one is up there.

    was just a little hesitant
    After reading so many reviews I was hesitant to buy but it has been excellent and did just what I wanted. I have a large cat who does not jump over things and I wanted to use the gate to keep her out of two rooms. She tried to jump it one time. Since I just had it against the door and not mounted , the gate fell over and kitty learned not to try to jump it. Fits really well when pressure mounted to a 42" door frame. Well worth the cost.. I am very pleased.

    Great gate for the money
    This gate is exactly what I need to use on a staircase to stop the dog from getting into the bedrooms. The locking device holds the gate securely in place and it is easy to open. The gate does require the walls to be even to work at its best. My wall has a large baseboard which doesn't allow the gate to sit flush against one wall, but the gate does still sit securely in the spot I need it to be in order to stop the dog from going upstairs. The gate arrived right on time. I was notified by WalMart via text and email when the gate was available to pick up from the store.

    Works fine for regular door frames
    I wish more gate products would say if it will work when there is a 2 to 3 inch high base board in the door frame. This one doesn't. So,I improvised and put 1 1/2 inch round furniture leg pads stuck on to each round rubber piece like 3 on each for the left and right top ones. It sort of works. FYI the pink one was cheaper than the blue one.
