    I bought $100 gift card for my mother. The Uber app rejected when she attempted to redeem it. I would suggest just handing the money to your friend and avoid buying Uber gift card. As the disclosure hides: "can't be used by family profile or to schedule rides." Isn't Uber for rides and other items.... avoid.
