So far so good.
Arrived in good time. Very little required to get a hook in the water (comes without line). I've caught several large mouth bass with it so far. Seems like the right strength and quality for a newbie hobbiest angler.

    Best rod, updated reel not as quality
    Pole is top notch. The real has apparently been updated from a year ago when I purchased the exact same model number. What is pictured is what I got last year, a reel that says “Shakespeare “. The reel that came with this combo says “Uglystik” with the same model number printed on it but obviously has smaller diameter bail wire and more plastic used.

    Description not accurate
    The rod was advertised as a one piece rod, however it is a 2 piece rod. I wanted a one piece rod. I thinking about if I want to return it or just keep it.

    Item arrived broken; slow return/replacement
    Item arrived broken with missing piece. Screw that holds the reel handle on was missing and not in the box. Returned via FedEx the next day and am still waiting for shipping info on replacement 6 days later. This is my first order from Walmart, and I'll just stick to Amazon from here on out.

    Why does it say one piece on the app but its 2
    The rod is great and I love it but on the app it says that it is one piece in person. It says that it is two-piece. The rod is good in all but I had to superglue it together

    Highly recommend as a starter rod
    Purchased one of these sometime around 2020 when I picked up a kayak and started fishing for the first time. Little long for the sit inside kayak but man I've caught at least 500 Pennsylvania bass, perch, catfish, rockbass and some lil bluegill fellers over those two summers on this thing. My biggest probably around 4.5 lbs. Took it down to NC to fish the brackish water of Cape Fear river near Wilmington and caught some black drum and sheepshead. Dropped it in freshwater a few times but the bearing still sounding good, it's eaten some sand and dirt as well. Highly recommend as a starter rod that can last you at least a few years. It's already paid for its self 10x.

    I normally love the gx2, however, in returned this one, the last foot from about the 3rd it to the top was noticeably bent and twisted to one side, disappointing
