Great base mattress to support a topper!
Great product and is as described. The only problem I had was with the shipping. Looks like it was dragged by one person which caused the clear plastic bag cover to tear in one corner exposing the mattress corner to dirt. Didn't want to drag it back to the store and wait for a replacement so I cleaned it up the best I could and put that side against the wall because I only needed it to support a mattress topper and the cover could be washed later. It probably should have been boxed after being bagged to provide additional protection during one man transport. However, the quality of the mattress and the price make it worth the risk. Recommend it highly!

Not worth it
You get what you pay for! Not even a year my 8 year old has been using this and it has a huge dip in the middle, she's not even 50 lbs and the dip is so uncomfortable for her to sleep on! Worst purchase ever!

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/20/2017Perfect for my needsI read all the reviews about this mattress before I bought it. It came exactly as promised, a little stiffer than in wanted. The Walmart employee was helpful, examined it for flaws and we chatted a moment about what I was doing with it. I put it in homemade gypsy trailer I use for extended camping. Beats the heck out of air mattresses. As with all things, you generally get what you pay for and I think I scored better than that. I would recommend this to others.epididymis

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/25/2016Poor packagingI like this mattress, but it was only wrapped in heavy plastic which was torn on both ends. There are black spots on it because of the poor packaging. Also it was shipped by UPS who is notorious for its rough handling. I have noticed that in less than a week it is showing signs of sagging. I will have to frequently rotate this mattress.Kaatzu

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/22/2014Great Mattress for the PriceThis mattress exceeded my expectations. I thought because it was less expensive than other mattresses, and because it did not have coils, that it would not be very comfortable. I was wrong. The mattress is very comfortable to me, it feels like a medium to firm type mattress, and I tend to like the firm kind. It is not too hard tho, to me it feels just right. We use it on the top bunk of a bunk bed we purchased 3 weeks ago. It is the right size for the top bunk, not too tall so a child could fall out. It also looks beautiful too, better than pictured online. It is not a thick mattress if you like that kind, but it fits perfectly in a top bunk.walshop21

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/22/2013Good mattress for the price! This mattress came within a few days of ordering. I use it on the top bunk for my 9 yr old son who is about 115lbs. I laid on it to try it out and it is really firm. My 11yr old has also slept on it who is about 150lbs. They both seem to really like sleeping on it. For the price its a good mattress. I thought it wouldn't hold up but it is really good! It also comes in plastic. The delivery guy brought it straight to my door. I was able to move it easily by myself.RO1mom

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/14/2009Value Buy...Overview: Most of the reviews indicate the mattress is hard. It's hard...which also means it's durable and not a bag of mush. The quality of the product is uncommon for a $99 mattress, and it's construction will last. Great kids mattress (for our daughter), great spare room mattress. Obviously for the money, not something you'd buy for a master bedroom, but for a guest or everday mattress for a twin, it's an excellent buy, and higher quality than others found here or at other online retailers. Shipping: The site to store option is quick, and the mattress arrives in a sturdy plastic wrapper and light enough to carry out of the store without a cart. Construction: The covering is durable and not flimsy, and the core is firm (not cardboard hard). Don't think of packing styrofoam, think of very firm memory foam, kinda spongy but not like the kind you can break apart easily (that's the core) covered with a softer outer fabric. It will conform to your body slightly, but not like a coil spring mattress of all foam mattress. Conclusion: We searched for several mattress, at Walmart and at other online and local retailers, and found most beds (we only needed a top mattress) came with cheap 'box' springs (cardboard over frame covered in cloth) and foamy flimsy top mattresses covered in inferior cloth or patterns that looked like they belonged in the wild west. Most were $150 and up. This product has a nice outer fabric that is not out-dated in appearance, and although the core is much firmer than a spring mattress, exceeds our expectations in a price to value comparison. It's firmness can be compensated for with a pillow top foam accessory, and even with that added expense if desired, still creates a better, higher quality result than other products we looked at.Echo5
