Great drives. Poor warranty
i bought hundreds of these drives for a large project. If you remove these drives from the enclosure it voids the warranty. Which is absolutely ridiculous. These drives cook inside the enclosure so i put them in a proper JBOD and that voids my warranty. I will not buy WD products in the future. These warranties anymore have soooo much fine print.

    Ok so far?? Time will tell?? Very sad that Western Digital thinks it is unnecessary for a power/active blue LED Light like in the older harddrive??? Don't know it is functioning unless you access from "My PC"?? My old 640Gb had worked great for 18 years. Usb cord is very short?? 3 foot?? How cheap! At least a 6 foot would be acceptable?? Cant even place My Book on desktop?? Won't reach pc tower under desk!! Why??

    Great product but look out for sharing
    Works great. The only gripe I have is that you cannot synch folders on the mybook to a WD mycloud device. Other than that its great
