So Spacious
I loved this tent! It was easy to set up just by looking at the picture on the front of the bag. There is so much room inside, both to stand up and to sleep. I love the box shape for that reason. It help up well in high winds, just make sure you point the front of the tent into the wind or else the whole side catches the breeze. Stakes held it down well. The only improvement I would suggest would be to include guylines, although this is pretty easy to do on your own. The mess side panels offer a cool feel, both aesthetically and temperature. Plenty of space to sleep. I haven't tried it in rain yet, but I have seen a number of reviews suggesting to treat the outside with waterproofing chemical which I intend to do as well. Great product!

Pole snapped during first use.
The tent pole snapped during first night using. I bought it early for a camping trip and it was 14 days past the return day. Costumer service was horrible.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/19/2021Very spacious! Love having a large tentI love this 8 man tent. Truth be told, its just my husband and me. So an 8 man tent is what some may call excessive for 2 people. But let me tell you, I love having so much space. Im used to tiny backpacking tents so when I was deciding on a tent to use at drive up campsites, I decided to go big. It was very easy to set up with 2 people (we didnt argue at all!) and after the first time, I think Id be fine to set it up by myself. We set up our bed in the main room like it was a master bedroom. Being able to stand up all the way (were 54 and 57) was luxurious. It has 2 large windows and a nice vent. Even when it rained with all the windows zipped up and the rain fly on, it was still breezy and not stuffy. I saw a few other people mention the door between the main room and the ante room is a perfect circle so you have to step up and over to get through. We didnt mind at all as it gives it some character (great for photos!) and it keeps the main room separate as the clean room and the ante room the more dirty room for wiping feet off and dirty towels and gear. It would have been nice if we had packed a little dustbin and broom for this reason. The ante room you can almost stand all the way up in. We used it like a patio, storage and food pantry. We could easily fit a chair or two and a table for food prep inside. The zip windows are on all 3 sides so it feels like a screened in patio. Only minor complaint was the bottom horizontal zippers at the entrance catch easily on the fabric meant to keep the zippers dry. We were careful after it happened a few times and it was fine. Overall, I think its a phenomenal tent. I could easily see a family of 4-5 or a group of friends sleeping in it or if you want to feel like youre glamping just 2 people like we did. :)Laura

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/10/2021Not only human friendly, but dog friendly too!Let me start off by saying that we normally go camping in our small camper, but there are times when we'd just like to set up a tent so we can bring less and in this case, have more space. My husband, myself and our 3 dogs took this tent out in March (yes, it was a little chilly). I got the 8-man tent for two reasons. 1 - I wanted more space in the cabin so our dogs could spread out and not feel like they are on top of us. 2 - I wanted the "front porch" to have a place our dogs could go to take a break, but not be on top of our sleeping bags or making a mess where we'll sleep. The tent and all of its pieces come in one big bag with handles, so easy to carry, but that sucker is heavy. Once we opened up the bag we checked to make sure everything was there (we actually did this at home to make sure we didn't get to our campsite unprepared). There are a ton of pieces and parts to lay out in front of you. One thing we would have like to have had is a footprint to go under the tent. It does not come with one so we took a tarp to lay underneath (you might take 2, it's a pretty big floor plan). Set up: Attached inside the bag are directions on how to set it up. It took both of us to set it up in about 10-15. For someone who has never set up a tent, it might take a little longer. Putting the poles in place were easy. You do at some point have to crawl out to the middle to tie the top of the tent to the poles. We would have rather have seen a looped piece of fabric for them to go through instead. Once your roof poles are in place the legs go on next and they connect with the roof poles with an elbow joint. Note that when you put your legs in place, there is a small metal piece that needs to be near the top as that is what your rainfly connects to. Also on the elbow joint there is a hole for your tent to connect to as well. Once your rainfly is on, make sure to close your velcro strips around the poles and there is also another tie. The back of the tent has a really nice vent you can have open or closed (it zips). There are guys on each of the of the corners to help keep your tent from blowing away. Inside: There are 2 huge rooms inside separated by a wall (circle) you can zip up. The circle wall in between zips from top to bottom. I think it would be better to zip from bottom to top as when we were trying to let our dogs out they were attempting to jump over as we were unzipping which could have caused damage. If it zips from the bottom up, they'd get out easier and quicker. There is a pocket right inside the cabin door that you can stuff the circle wall into, that was cool. Inside the sleeping cabin there are two small pockets for your phone, keys, headlamp etc. It would have been nice to see some gear hook attachments to set up a gear line, or hang a light in the middle. The "front porch" was just as spacious and also had windows that could be zipped open or closed. The top of the porch is all net, so air circulation is good.Shannon

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/10/2019Great tentMy husband and I took our 3 year old camping for the first time and we loved this tent! It was very easy to set up, we had two people, might have been a little more difficult with one. We loved the little sun room in the front, it was a great space to keep our clothes and other items we didn't want in our main "bedroom". We fit a queen size air mattress in the back room with still plenty of room for other items. We loved all the windows and vent in the back of the tent, it was the perfect size for us as well. Only complaints are that the windows once opened don't really have any place for the extra fabric to be tucked away or tied off so the windows kind of hang around on the floor, and the rounded door way to the back room, while it looks nice, it has a pretty high lip off the floor which we were constantly tripping over, especially my daughter. Other than that, we loved it and it was really easy to take down and pack away. Looking forward to using it again!Samantha

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/04/2012RoomyBought this tent for a two day beach camping trip. We read the directions, but didn't do a dry run at home. It took less than half an hour to put the tent up, in fairly strong ocean winds. I used to camp in a dome tent in my younger days, but decided we needed something roomier, that we could stand up in, since becoming a 'certain age'. My husband is 6'1 and could stand easily. The screened in porch was perfect for eating without being divebombed by seagulls and for just sitting and watching the sunrise over the ocean. We had the nicest tent there! The tent was even easier to pack up and actually fit back into its carrying case.LAURAnJR
