Worth the money
Works as it should. Also, the nightlight is nice to have, especially when you're using it for a child's room. Smells great and clears you up. My only complaint is that you have to change it quite often, every day or two day maximum and the refills are expensive. However, I was suprised that it came with as many as it did. I believe three or so. Worth the money and does its job!

Lid is poorly fitted
The lid is not strong and durable. Within 4 weeks of use at the rate of two days a week, it is loose and not in place. The Vicks scent is no longer effective and maybe the poor fit is the cause. Not sure how to proceed.

This is not worth it . Does not work!
Very disappointed so many were sick in family so I ordered 4. There is no smell unless you put nose right up to unit then you smell very slight smell. I had distributed to others in family and they had same problem. Did not help their caughing.

    Definitely strong smell
First time trying this and I definitely like its mess free and it got a very strong smell. It comes with 5 pads to go with it and they last for 8 hrs. And that's great cause I have it plugged at the kitchen table and its smell is coming into the living room so definitely works great.

    Awesome Idea, Poor Performance
I have used Vicks products my entire life. When I learned about Vicks Waterless Vaporizer, I looked forward to trying it to soothe my sinuses. It is electric with a six foot cord and works by releasing non-medicated menthol vapor into the air, from a tiny scented pad. This Vicks Waterless Vaporizer Set includes a sample set of five Vicks VapoPads that serve as a replacement for water and vaporizer liquid. Each pad is supposed to last an average of 6-8 hours. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough fragrance even within the first two hours to notice any relief. I do not have a very large bedroom, and I slept with it less than 12 inches from my nose, and the Vicks was barely noticeable. The vaporizer comes with a built-in nightlight for easy viewing, and I liked that feature. When I'm not feeling well, I need a little light to see where my water bottle or tissues are located on my nightstand. It is designed to be quiet, allowing for a peaceful night, and that feature also was a winner. This item is small and designed in a flat, square form, so you can easily place it on a dresser or nightstand. It is small, and could even be easily placed in a tote bag or luggage. This has potential to be a beneficial item for home health care, but the vapor emitted needs to be at a much greater intensity in order to produce results. I really love the idea of this product, and I hope that they revamp this product to produce vapor that actually works.

    Perfect Nights Sleep!
The Waterless Vaporizer is a neat, compact product that plugs into the wall socket and has a decent cable length reaching across to my bedside table. It takes a scent pad that releases Eucalyptus & Cedar Leaf Oils, amongst others. Once inserted there are 3 settings to control the intensity of the scent. A night light comes on when the vaporizer is turned on, unfortunately there is no way to switch it off. It is a great product to use at night when feeing a little stuffy, it has helped me to sleep more comfortably, would recommend.

    Works
This came just in time stuck with a cold and congestion. I turned this on when I went to bed and it really did help with the coughing. The directions say it works best in a more humid house our house is pretty dry and it seemed to work just fine. The smell isn't to overpowering like if you put Vicks on your chest. The unit itself is pretty small which is nice. Has a nice light that isn't to bright.

    Portable Waterless Vaporizer!
I remember using this type of product when I was younger but larger in size. This is great that it has been reengineered to continue to Help with your sinuses with this Vicks Waterless Vaporizer. Love how it works by releasing non-medicated menthol vapor into the air. As mentioned in the product information, It has three scent settings for different levels of intensity. I like that each pad can last an average of 8 hours. It also serves as a built-in nightlight for easy viewing. It's a great item for home health care. I give it a thumbs up!

    Love vicks
I use this whenever I'm feeling a little stuffy, doesn't matter if it's allergies or a cold it works. I usually use it at night time and it helps every time. Safe for the whole family. It's a little strong so make sure the room has air circulation.

    Merrrrppp. NEGATIVE
Wife got this for our sons room. He suffers from really bad allergies, which causes him congestion at night, and causes him many sleepless nights. We've been trying to figure out different methods to help him. This little device doesn't really work at all. No matter how my wife set it up, you couldn't smell that smell of Vicks at all. Bummed that it was a waste. Was really hoping it would work for my little guy.

Not worth the trouble or the cost.
Does not smell throughout the room. I had to actually pick up the unit and sniff it! At work, I kept it on my lap so that I could smell it and get a little relief from my cold. If I hadn't thrown the box away, I would have returned it. Total waste of $12!

    Not satisfied
I wanted to like this, but it's not much help. The wall plug in one is better than this one, as it uses two pads. This table top one only uses one pad.

Great price for an even greater product
I prefer the Vicks waterless vaporizer over the water vaporizer. Due to the fact that it doesn't get hot, no spills and main reason is it doesn't put off a steam. Which when my son was younger would trigger his asthma. We tried these and they worked perfectly.

    Great alternative
This is a great gadget. I don't see how to change the settings but it works fine in my bedroom and work office is is fairly large. It still has a faint smell in the morning, but you may not notice it unless you leave and come back in. I'm glad to put the full size water model away unless someone gets really sick, then I might use both.

    Pretty-not the best choice
My 91 year old dad suffers from severe sinus issues. I was tired of filling the vaporizer with water every night. I had really hoped putting this beside his pillow would help. It didn't. The pads are expensive and oily to touch, and they are a pain to change-every 8-10 hours. I bought Vicks ointment and put it in a water bottle cap. I used one cap on each side of his bed. The smell lasts for at least two days and he sleeps just fine now. I now use it in a candle warmer just so it looks better. The unit is fine for someone who is not really sick, but you will need 4 of them for a small room. This would get expensive over time. Vicks ointment in a small container/candle warmer works much better.

    Stops working
We used this for less than a week in my daughter's room to help her congestion. When she was not in the room, we unplugged the vaporizer. After 4 nights of use, the vaporizer stopped working. There is no way of turning it on or off without unplugging it. We searched for a reset button and found nothing. We tried a different outlet. We inserted new Vicks tabs. Nothing worked.

    Great Product
I just picked up one of these today because I have been sick with a rather bad cold for the past week and a half. As soon as I got home, I set the vaporizer up and plugged it in. I could immediately smell the menthol throughout the room (or if I stand int he hallway and just open my door I can smell it). It seems to be working well with keeping me less stuffy than I had been; I am breathing easier. It's easy to use and compact so it's not in the way. The soft green glow of the night light is just right for seeing where the vaporizer is at night without being bright enough to keep you awake. The unit gets warm (as it's supposed to), but so far it has not gotten hot enough to cause any kind of burns. Granted, I just bought this and haven't been using it for very long but my first impression is that it's worth the price. I find it better than slathering the menthol rub all over my chest. Just remember that this is not a humidifier, all it does is heat the menthol pad to disperse it in the air. So if you need just the menthol similar to the rub, this is for you.
