Great device for Cord Cutters.
Works great for my home phone. I recently cut the cord. No more Comcast. Simply activate the unit, unplug the phone wire going into the Comcast router and plug the phone wire into this unit. All my phones worked as before. The dial tone is different but you soon get used to that so it is no big issue. The sound quality is as good or better then before. And to top it all off the $15.00 a month price is really nice.

TIME CONSUMING HASSLE!!
Hassle! Warehouse sent it to me in "Status- inactive". They won't take it back, exchange (non available) and local Walmart will not activate it.

    Very Poor
I bought this for my in laws and when I rec'd this product the package looked lit it was sat on. Then went online to try and activate it and it would not activate! Called CS and they advised that it was never scanned before it was shipped so it will not activate! Took this back to walmart to get a refund and order from Straight talk directly!

Cut monthly bill from $53 to $15
This uses Verizon's cell phone network, so if you have weak cellular signal indoors, a $20 LTE external antenna should be mounted outdoors and connected to one of the SMA antenna inputs. I went from 2/4 to 4/4 bars just placing the antenna high up in a window opening

    Home phone
First one I ordered online from Walmart wasn't scanned prior to shipping so it was inactive. Had to call Walmart and then straightalk and then Walmart again. Had to return it. Big inconvenience. Went to my local Walmart and bought a different one. It works great! I haven't had a home phone in years and this is wonderful. Can't beat the price. I would recommend it but be sure to get from a store and not online. I've seen many reviews about them not being activated upon shipment. Easy to set up and work. I started activating it online and my internet kept getting interrupted so I finished by calling straightalks automated service. Had it up and running in about 10 to 15 minutes.

First... this was shipped to 3 different states.. upon registering unit with straight talk I was told this unit was not eligible for the request action. After calling support, I was then told to email tracfone... been waiting now for 3 days for response

I have had nothing but trouble since I got it in june.I answer a call and they can not hear me because it goes to voice mail. if I get put on hold, It goes to busy .what a piece of crap. the older ones worked a lot better. a couple of people I know have the older ones and have no problems. of course when I installed it I threw the receipt away, so I cannot get my money back. nothing but trouble. called customer service, cant understand them , so no help there. dorothy

great replacement for a landline phone
Got this set up in very short time and for $15.00 a month plus tax I get just as many features as I did with my landline that ended up costing closer to 70.00 a month after all the fees and excise taxes. You do have to be aware that this is NOT a wi-fi. Unless you have a phone directly plugged into it, it will not transmit a signal to a wireless phone. It does have a battery backup for a power outage but not sure how long that would last and of course you need to have a non-electric phone plugged into it to get it to work. The dial tone is different and it takes a second or two to get a dial tone so it does take a bit of getting used to, but after that it's fine.

    Good product.
If your tired of the big box extremely expensive full of it phone companies with their hidden add on costs this product is the way to go, I connected it to the phone terminal block in my basement by means of a standard phone jack upstairs and disconnected the phone line coming from the outside and ran it directly to my computer modem, I now have three hardwired phones running off of this product plus internet access from the dedicated outside line.

    I wish I could give 0 stars
I bought this product and could only make outgoing calls and not receive incoming calls. I spoke with several straight talk customer service technicians and they did not do anything to try and alleviate the issue. I highly recommend the Ooma home phone system.

Straight Talk Home Phone Base didn't com activated
I purchased the Straight Talk Home Phone Base on Walmart.com and I received it very quick. I tried setting it up and activating my account and it wouldn't let me. After calling Straight Talk I found out the base wasn't activated before it was shipped to me. I now have to go to a Walmart Store, take all my paper work with me, and have it activated. The purpose of buying it online was so that I didn't have to go to the store. You're better off going to the store to purchase the base - it's less frustrating. I'd recommend purchasing the base in one of the stores but I would not recommend purchasing it from Walmart.com.

    Very, very satisfied.
Rock solid link to a Verizon tower a couple miles away, 2 or 3 bars, crystal clear calls. The dual antennas do the job. It shames our regular cell phones that use the same tower. Best part: dropping the landline which was $80/mo. for this $17/mo. rig that equals or exceeds in call quality. Only took 3 days to port over the landline number. Very pleased.

I love my Straight Talk Home Phone. I have had it for over 5 years. I never have drop calls. I was able transfer my number on very easy. But your number must be active to transfer your number. Straight Talk works on the Verizon towers. And we know Verizon has more towers than any other company in the United States of America.

    Upgrade
This is my second home phone device from ST. I had to upgrade because my old Huawei H258C will be obsolete soon. First impression of the Moxee is that it works well (it uses Verizon towers), and sound quality is good. My only dislike of the device is, the dial tone is high pitched and unpleasant. Some calls ring with an odd digital, long beep, others ring with that fake-sounding version of a POTS line - which is why I didn't give this is a higher rating.
