Bad Roku
Almost every time I turn on my tv with this roku I have a error message that I need to set up an internet connection. So I follow the instructions and everything was already set up then it tells me I need to reset roku. I have been doing this since August 2022. Not happy and wish I hadn’t bought this item.

    It didn't cost very much I'll recover.
    I purchased about 2 months ago I believe. It's plugged into the wall with the original equipment. I'll try something else.

    Nice... But Not the Best
    I have 6 Roku TV/Systems in my house... and I love them all. Even my 85 Year Old Mother can easily maneuver her Roku Remote to get to her Hallmark Channels, Netflix or her Youtube TV... and so much more. My favorites are built into the TV system (as a RokuTv) but I also have the Pro System with the Base and an extra Long Range Stick. This one that I bought at Walmart is just the stick (bought it for a 80 year old neighbor who has Comcast) and it wasn't as nice (Easy) as the other Roku's that I have. I kinda wish that I had gone to Costco and gotten her the Pro System. My Bad. However, She still liked Roku Express that I got her.

    disappointed - first time
    was apparently used (as an account was set up already) batteries -sold as ‘included’ were missing..and although i tried to factory reset as to add MY info and channels, it froze on battery insertion directions. have never been disappointed with WalMart shipping items before now.

    It took me less than 5 minutes to set out. I already have a Roku account so that makes it even easier to set up. I read where some said Roku ask for credit card. But only time they asked for that is when you purchase the app’s that have trial period. I only get the free apps. No credit card needed. I didn’t want to have to buy smart tv’s. So these came in handy for all my apps. Plus you get the Roku channel which has hundreds of channels. Love all the music apps on it also. Pandora I heart radio and amazon music apps. Great buy. Love the Roku stickers that come with. And the remote has volume on it. So you don’t have to use your tv remote anymore. So I’ll be returning my cable boxes asap to save money. Thanks Roku

    Great streaming device!
    The product functions great, we had to teplace the batteries out of the box, possibly defective. Only issue I have with it is that sometimes different remotes effect the player, I go to turndown the soundbar and the movie pauses kind of thing.

    I love Roku. I have a Amazon Fire TV that I hate. I got this Roku; put in HDMI in Fire TV. Bypassed Fire TV; great - no more Fire TV. Do have to turn on Fire TV and choose HDMI each time- doesn't matter; I'm thrilled! And I'm not especially tech savvy. Very easy set up. Totally recommend. I have a gorgeous 55" Sony TV that is maybe 6-7 years old- still with the most beautiful picture. I have a Roku attached to that also!

    Overall I like my roku. I can watch almost everything through it. The only think that I dislike about it is the remote. It doesn't work all the time, especially the sound button barely works. I have to get really close to the tv and press on the buttons many times to increase or decrease the volume every time. I don't know if my remote is the problem or if it is like this with everyone. But I did have a hard time paring my remote with my tv when I first received it.

    Not sure what is going on with my Roku device, but every day I have to plug/unplug before I get a picture. There is sound, but no picture. It's aggravating but still better than paying double for Spectrum.

    Do not buy.
    bought this 4k Roku in April of 2022, and its already not working in July of 2022. The previous Roku lasted maybe 2 years, so not sure why but Roku cant seem to make a quality product that actually lasts.

    Clearer setup,syncing info needed. Awkward design
    Liked easy setup, however had problem getting remote to turn on tv and device. Had to resort to google to find the answer. Appeared I had to go into the settings on my TV and turn on CCE. Also design of the remote is awkward. Volume controls should be on the left side of the remote to eliminate unintentionally touching when holding remote in your left hand.

    Unable to access Roku account
    Because we've had several Roku's throughout the years, our Roku account uses a old email address we don't use anymore and can't access. When we try, it wants to call our old "Landline" to verify as were using a newer computer. We dropped our landline years ago for our cellular phones. The only option left is to start a new account which, for no good reason, wants us to add a credit card or paypal account leaving us no choice to opt out. I would reset this and take back to walmart but it's not worth the hassel. We just needed to replace the Roku Streaming Stick which overheats a lot.
