Patched up an "unrepairable" crack
The local glass windshield repair company refused to fix a 1.5" diameter spider crack with a huge indentation. I ordered this stuff, followed the directions and filled 80% of the cracks. Even though the huge pit can't be fixed, the resin should slow down crack propagation and increase the lifetime of my windshield. Beats buying another windshield.

Useless, not recommended, made no difference
It looked professional %26 can fix more than one crack. Seemed runnier than I expected but after doing treatments TWICE on two rock chips it made zero difference. Yes, I followed the instructions to a tee, did it in shade of garage in 70 degrees, put in the sun to cure. Did all the plunger as specified, 6 drops for 8 minutes, was very runny when I took the plunger off, had to wupe it off the windshield when it ran down. Not happy after doing each small chip so I did them again. Honestly can't see any difference in the chip or the bullseye. These were tiny pebble chips about the size of the plunger nozzle. Very disappointed wasted over an hour and a half (and also the cost of it). I didn't expect a "like new" but this came out "like before"

Saved myself $250 for new windshield
Did. A great job and fixing the crack on my windshield. You can hardly see it from the outside. It's noticeable on the inside but it stopped spreading and my crack was about 16 inches or so long from the bottom to about mid shield. I'm only giving it a 4 out of 5 stars because the liquid had spilled inside the packaged before i even opened it. But there is still plenty left to fix another chip or 2.

Works when mobile auto glass companies won't
Follow the directions. Worked better than I expected. I had two circle cracks inside of each other, one 1" and one 2". The inner crack was almost all crushed bits. Mobile auto glass companies (called 3) refused to fix anything bigger than 5/8". Figured $10 bucks was worth a shot over a total windshield replacemnt ($2000-3000 ). Car is only worth $4000. This product completely sealed the inner 1" crushed glass and almost repaired the 2" crack. If I had more patience and a steadier hand, I probably could of completely removed all traces of the crack. Very impressed. Will use this product again.

    Works as should
Works well to fill in chips only if the placement of The suction cup tool is perfect. I needed to fill the Chips twice to get the results I wanted.

    Too difficult
I wanted this to really be a lifesaver for our family. My husband travels a lot for work and continues to get those dings and chips in the windshield of our SUV. We tried this out on his latest chip before it got any bigger. First there are so many steps and really kind of confusing. We kept having to go back and reread the instructions over and over. Then it was very messy. The liquid resin was getting all over. I had it on my hands, my shirt, and it smells so strong. While it did seem to work, it didn't cover the chip and it was a small one. We will have to go back and do it again. For me it's not worth the money and time. I'd rather take the car and have it repaired.

    Easy repair!
I got this for a chip I've had on my windshield for awhile, because it seemed like it was getting worse. This directions for this repair kit were so easy to follow, even for a beginner like me! For chips, you use the applicator base and follow the simple instructions. I had to do it after sundown though, because you can't do it in direct sunlight, and I have no shaded areas. It didn't get rid of the chip completely, but it looks so much better and I think it will stop it from getting worse now.

Only slightly repairs chips and scratches
We have three vehicles and I tried this on all three. It took almost an hour and a half to do 3 chips, bullseyes, scratches on each vehicle. So a total of 9. So, right off the bat their "5 minute" estimate is about double. Dodge Ram - had to use a step ladder to reach the center of windshield. Applied it to 2 large bullseyes (about the size of dimes) and a chip. One of the bullseye and the chip appear slightly smaller. Jeep Cherokee - much easier to reach. Applied it to 3 chips. Only one appears slightly smaller. Infiniti Fx - again, much easier to reach. Applied it to a bullseye, a chip, and a scratch. The bullseye and scratch appear slightly smaller. I am giving two stars. One is for the inventiveness of the little suction cup tool thing. In theory this idea is fantastic!! However, it is pretty cheaply made, which makes any functionality a little less effective. The rubber stopper end where the resin is dispersed started coming off the tool, and this only got worse with each chip I tried to repair. This then lead to resin dripping down the windshield, requiring additional cleanup to an already annoying process. It also allowed resin to leak into the suction cups, which then prohibited them from sticking as well. The second star is because SOME appeared slightly less, so I guess I cannot say it doesn't entirely not work, because it does slightly work. The process is to use the little tool, apply the resin (this is tedious to keep running in and out of the car to check from the inside that it is aligned and also dispersing to the chip or crack), then you remove the stopper, do it again to let out any last air from the cracks, remove the tool, and apply a curing sheet (like a little plastic flat business card sized piece). You then move your car to direct sun and let it "cure" for 5-10 minutes. When you pull the curing sheet off, the resin is dry and is white. You take the included razor blade and scrape the dried resin off. If the chip still is visible, you are supposed to reapply the curing strip and scrape some of the resin back into the chip, and then scrape again to smooth. I did all of the above for all 9 areas I worked to repair. As I said, it took almost an hour and a half. For the amount it slightly repaired or improved the areas, I definitely do not think it is worth the effort. Perhaps it works better on large spider web type cracks, but I don't have any of those to test on. For the ones I tested on, I will attach a pic. The left side are the "before" and the right side are the "after" of the same areas. As you can see, there is only minimal improvement. Most of the other areas I did look the same as before. I believe if they made their tool better quality, this idea would work much better. I can see where the thought process is, and it seems it would work, but the cheapness of the little stopper losing its rubber and not being able to suction on as it should doesn't allow the resin to get inside the crack as effectively as it should. Make that better and it'll work better!

    It does the job.
As long as the crack is not too deep or that big, it does a pretty good job. It wont make it desappear. Beats paying a windshield repair guy. The crack has to be very well cleaned, and as soon as possible after it happens, to work accurately. It will depend on the size and depth of the crack. Follow the directions as written. I don't think if the crack is too deep or big, this or any other product will work. It is best to be safe and its better to consult a professional if your in doubt of the size or deapth. This wilIt worked on our small nick.

    It works!
I had a bunch of small chips on my windshield from rocks hitting my vehicle on my daily commute to work. This Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit saved me from having to go through my insurance to have the chips repaired. I forgot to take before/after photos to show you all how well it worked. You can't tell that I had minor chips in my windshield anymore. I'm not sure how it would work on a larger crack or chip, but it works excellent on small ones. It's best to use this soon after the damage occurs before the crack spreads or the chip gets dirty. I highly recommend this product!

    Quick fix
This is solid quick fix material to patch a small crack until you can afford to get the entire windshield to be replaced. This is essentially comparable to UV resin. It walks you through the steps to make an easy quick fix. I work with this type of material in art projects, so I don't think that this is a long term fix. But it would be ideal to keep in the car for those surprise chips and cracks that happen on road trips. At the very least this will stop a crack from spreading from vibration quickly which can save time and money in the long run.

    Works!
This is pretty cool. We got a small chip on the windshield from a car kicking it up on the highway that turned into a small crack for the last two or three years. The product dose say to use it as soon as possible after it happens but we tried it anyway. It was really easy to understand the clear instructions and easy to use the product. The repair device makes it super easy to use and the curing strips are what really make this work. I almost couldn't tell we even had a chip or crack at all, I was worried that's I was going to see the edges of the curing strips but seriously you can't tell at all! I'd definitely recommend this! In the picture the circled red part is where you put the bottle of resin making it really easy to use. The red square is the curing strips.

    This does what it says
I was surprised this actually worked but it did. You can see the difference- the picture doesn't do it justice as it was still a little wet and looks cracked still. It was hard to do only because of the spot we had to fix but it took car of off the spider webs and it looks like nothing happened. Ours was only a small quarter/nickel sized area that had yet to spread but I would like to see how it performs on something worse. With it being a 1 shot deal you basically only have 1 opportunity to use it since the pc that attached to the window was trash afterwards and for best results you need to be able to see through the windshield. Ours was down In the dark tinted area and made it a little harder. But it worked

    Let a Pro do It!
I was excited to try out this windshield repair kit for cracks and chips on my car. The kit is great and contains everything you need including detailed instructions. I had plenty of cracks and chips to test out this product. Result? Definitely not quick and easy as advertised. I recommend leaving this repair to the professionals who do it all the time like you see advertising in parking lots. The kit is great for someone with a little experience, though. This process works best on fresh cracks and chips. Set includes plenty of curing plastic rectangles. A tip is to cut them in strips if you have a long crack. Although it seems easy enough after reading through the instructions several times, I think there is some technique to applying this successfully to your windshield. The window of your car is pretty important so I'd rather pay a little bit more for a pro to do it for me.

    HUGE money saver!
We have an old crack in our windshield that we've had for some time. I decided that it couldn't hurt to try this because a windshield replacement is out of our budget right now. I followed the instructions step by step and even watched a YouTube tutorial to make sure I was doing everything correctly. It worked! I couldn't believe that this crack we've been having for years pretty much disappeared. Highly recommend this product!

    Handy Kit
This is my second kit; the first exceeded expectations and I want it around when needed again. There is enough for several repairs and the resin doesn't dry out in between uses. Kit includes everything you need. Instructions are clear: basic steps highlighted, followed by details. I watched a video as a nervous first-time DIY and recommend that you be patient and gentle, but it isn't hard to do.
