Perfect for deer
We actually loved this feeder so much we bought a second one! I think the 15 minute assembly is a stretch, it took us about 35 minutes the first time and 20 the second time when we knew what we were doing. This unit does not come with a battery. After trying a normal 6v battery, I recommend that you go with a solar panel charger. We ordered one online to match the unit. Keep in mind when you do that, the battery is a closed compartment, so you will have to drill a small hole for the wires to get through. We did this easily and it didnt affect the performance of the unit. You can set it to put out corn up to four times a day and up to twenty seconds at a time. We decided on twice a day and for ten seconds each. When the barrel is completely filled, that lasted us over three months which was perfect for us. We have a flock of turkeys we were hoping to keep around and weâve seen them more than ever before so Iâd say it worked!
Do be aware that this unit is very tall with the legs on, a lot taller than I was anticipating! Make sure you pick a calm day outside to attach the legs. They are easily removable so you can bring your feeder inside to store as needed. Overall, we are very happy with this unit and the warranty! (Make sure you register it within 14 days of purchase) Looking forward to a great hunting season next year

Inexpensive and cheap
Not very sturdy at all. Legs are loose and do not securely attach to the feeder. Very easy to be knocked over. Also - the top and bottom are not securely held together.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/17/2022would be great if plastic was stronger!i didn't like the fact that the plastic tore by day 3... allowing all the corn to get soaked by the rains. so stronger plastic and poles need feet! so yhey dont sink into the ground.stephen

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/13/2022Walmart screwed upOrdered through Walmart for pick up. Picked up and brought home. Upon opening the box discovered it was a return and had been used. The barrel had old feed left in it and the bottom was busted out. Walmart needs to do better.Bryan

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/27/2022slight adjustment requiredI believe the unit I received was a return because the handle was missing and some of the parts were already assembled. It was very easy to set up with one exception. The holes for the lid hinge screws were a hair too small (maybe why it was returned if it was). It's plastic so a quick drill out to widen it a touch was all it took. The timer is super easy to program. I recommend this product.Blaney

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/05/2022Damaged itemReceived my feeder and it had clearly been shipped previously and returned. The box was damaged and items were packaged poorly. The top of the feeder was cracked. Very disappointed in my purchase!Julie

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/06/2021Poor designInside bottom is almost flat. Because of that the feed does not go down the funnel very well. Have to go out and shake the feeder to get the feed to come out the hole. Have to check it everyday.Ed

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/03/2021Great Wild Game FeederThe feeder is definitely durable and we like how it was well constructed, We opted to tape the legs together after we had it up so it would not come apart, not sure that it would but we were being cautious.kelly

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/18/2021Wildgame Innovations 30 gal Quick Set FeederThis is the second one of these I bought. I haven't opened the box of this last one as of yet but the old adage you get what you pay for applies. The whole thing only cost 78 bucks so...Anyway, seeing as this is the second one of these I have purchased and I haven't cracked the box open on this last one this review will center on my experience with the one I purchased 3 years ago...Ease of assembly, well, it certainly isn't a 15 minute set up in the field. As far as the electronics go, well, the timer that comes with the unit quit working not long after the initial "warranty" (and I type warranty with trepidation). I ended up buying another replacement timer from Wildgame. After that one also quit working correctly, and with no help from Wildgame Innovations customer service, I went ahead and spent almost as much for a timer from West Texas Feeder Supply ($60.00) as I spent on the whole feeder to replace the Wildgame Innovations electronics. I fully expect to have to do the same with the new one still in the box. If you do have troubles, Wildgame Innovations customer service sucks, I wouldn't even bother calling them. As mentioned, if the timer goes out, just order a good one from West Texas or somebody. As far as the the legs go, they are not not the easiest to work with and you can get mighty frustrated, but after messing with mine some, I am able to take it down, bring it to the house, clean it out, and set it back up by myself. It ain't easy though and if you are not careful you will end up with a broken barrel. The rivets, or pins, or whatever they are called, that hold the barrel together are not the easiest to put in during the initial assembly either. Take your time and try not to get frustrated. Anyway, I feed year round, I've had mine up for going on three years now, take it down every spring or early summer to clean it, as mentioned up above, have replaced the Wildgame Innovations electronics with "The Timer" from West Texas Feeder Supply. So, not bad for 78 bucks. It holds 200 plus pounds of feed and feeds corn or pellets (I use 50/50 corn and pellets) I just hope the one in the box isn't broken or damaged and I can get it set up and working like the first one. I would recommend this feeder with a few caveats. Expect the timer to go out. Expect to be frustrated when dealing with the legs. And expect to smack your finger nails when assembling the barrel halves. This is only poly barrel feeder, it ain't a long term metal feeder. But as I mentioned, it only cost 78 bucks. Caveat emptor...If you buy this, I wish you luck with it.ElbertR

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/09/2021Very pleasedWith all of the negative reviews, I was skeptical. Went together easily. I added some self tapping screws to the legs to keep them in place. Too easy! For $78 this is a great feeder. It says it'll spread up to 30 ft so I assumed it spread a 30ft diameter but it easily throws corn 30ft in all directions. So it's covering a 60ft or more diameter. It might actually throw it a bit too far and I might add a shroud to cut it down a bit since it's in the woods and I don't need corn in the brush. I'm probably going to get another one to put somewhere in the 3 acre clearing around the house to watch the deer. Like anything that requires assembly, sometimes you have to make modifications that aren't necessary for use but to make it a little easier to use. I'd definitely recommend this feeder. Great product at an incredible price.Marc

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/25/2020Really cheaply made productPlastic is cheap. Tipped over one time and the brackets that connect the barrel to the spreader broke. The one part that is not replaceable is the brackets. I just fabricated some out of metal myself. Would recommend to just spend a little more money on a Moultrie product.Tigerhog

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/06/2016Not bad for the priceFor the price, not bad for a multi-month feeder. Recommend building it at home before going to the field, I ended up drilling out some of the holes to make the anchors fit. Really helpful to have 2 people to set it up as the legs don't lock. I made a handle for the lid, none came with the feeder though there were holes drilled for one.VidaliaGAHunter

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/01/2016Great valueThis feeder was very quick and easy to assemble by myself I opted to bolt the legs together to make it much easier on myself to raise it being it was going to be in my backyard and i didnt need to worry about moving it again I also choose to keep the battery charged with a solar charger with battery combo i found on ebay for around 24 dollars to the door which works great but tou have to drill a hole in the battery box to feed the charge wire through but no real big deal there either all in all walmart had the best price on the feeder and it was shipped pretty quick i d def recommend this feeder and the solar charger combo best 105 i ve spent in a long timeSpecialdelivery
