Not as advertised and poor quality.
The center tie that holds up the entire tent is very lightweight and 1 of the straps broke immediately (which collapsed the tent). The 2 hubs at each end would not stay up. We released one of the clamps on the top bars but when we put the rain fly on they collapsed again. Not truly a dark tent. The zippers on top only zip on 2 sides so light comes through, and there are 4 triangles on each side that have no cover at all.

I was inside this tent with multidirectional winds and hail storm on an island. There were small and huge trees down within 10 feet of the tent. One limb hit one end. The tent collapsed on both ends but where I was under an air mattress , in the middle of the tent , it stayed up!! There are no tears or holes. I was able to collapse it down and set it right back up! When the ends collapsed , one of the inside roof panels unzipped and rain did get in. But I am not complaining! Highly recommend this tent but , honestly, I don't recommend riding out a severe storm!! The tent is awesome!

    Nice and dark for sleeping.
Absolutly a must buy if you hate that 4 am wake up call from the sun.....I am including a photo for reference, it was taken 9 am and it was gloriously still really dim inside enough for my light sensitive eyes to stay asleep. the upgraded rain cover also has plastic skylights so if you need to see your self, you can open the top and still have privacy to get dressed. set up took about 5 min, poles easy to snap in place, tear down was easy, only downfall was smooshing it all back in the storage bag.

Windows and zippers are terrible sides don't pop outwards. Feels like it's going to fall on you. Ours came with holes! We had 9 people and 4 were kids tight squeeze…

    Defective Buttons
The product was defective. First time I used it one of the buttons for extending the top supporting rods jammed therefore I was not able to fully extend the tent. Unfortunately it rained heavily that night and structure almost collapsed on us during the night. Water just kept pouring into the tent.

    Great tent but poles snapped!
We really loved this tent at first. He setup was easy my husband could get it up in a few minutes by himself. It is HUGE and wonderful and the dark rest is amazing. We did a test setup, went camping twice and after our last trip laid it out to dry after we got home. One of the poles snapped when just unrolling it to lay it out to dry. Thankful it didn’t snap while we were camping. We have had a tent like this without the dark rest of a different brand and the poles are much thicker. We returned this and will spend the extra money on the better brand.

    leaks at corners
love the tent because of sky lights and darkness. down side is that it leaks where staked at the corners. inside tent fabric pulls away in those spots. all corners are the same.

The top poles are the tents downfall!
The size of the tent is wonderful as well as the dark tent technology; however, the top poles are the worst! You almost have to been an Ironman in order to pull the pole out to set the tent up. We sent the first one back and was sent a new one- but the new one has the EXACT SAME ISSUE. The manufacturer dropped the ball on the top poles, which are the most important!

Great tent but leaks when it rains.
I love so many things about this tent. The one thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that it does leak when it rains. Not a ton but still lets water in. And I water treated it several times before using. But knowing that we just adjust accordingly.

    Camping with Cots
I like that the tent is dark, but it does absorb the heat during the day, however the windows do provided very good circulation. Fits 4 cots, 2 on each sides and about 6' left in the middle for supplies and walking space. there is about 3' of space between the cots. The tent dome in slightly, rather than being straight so the floor space and the is different. The ceiling space is probably 8'x18'. I was expecting to be able to put a fifth cot in it and there isn't enough space. Overall the tent is good quality and we love the star gazing. The setup was tricky the first time, but I think will be easy the next time. You have to fully extent the two ceiling bars before extending all the leg bars. I was able to set it up by myself in about 30 minutes the first time, and then my husband helped me extend one of the side ceiling bars because it wouldn't extend without 2 people. I wish it didn't dome as much as it does and I wish it was about 5' deeper. Then it would be perfect.

Do Not Purchase Didn't Last 2 Trial Installations
We just received it yesterday and opened it up to test it today in our backyard. It went up easy the first time and we took it down because the plan was just to check it. We put it up again today to show a friend how easy it was and it was a lot harder. It turned out that the top center strap that goes to of the frame and material was broken/ ripped. This tent didn't even last 2 trial installations the day after we received it.

    Love this tent!!
We downsized from a popup camper for simplicity. Three things sold me on this tent and it has not disappointed: 1. Ease of setup...it’s an instant tent and sets up in just a few minutes with 2 people. 2. Large enough for a queen bed and three twins. We have three boys and I love the room dividers for privacy. 3. The dark rest feature is awesome! I took a wonderful nap at 3:00 today and it was dark in the tent. You can unzip the overhead panels and lighten it up as well. Yes, people fuss about the material because it appears there are holes in it. Ours looks like it could have a few small holes as well, but they aren’t holes at all. Its just where the dark rest spray (or whatever is used to make it dark) may have missed a few small spots. No big deal to me. Granted, we havent used this in the rain yet, but we are very happy so far!

    Happy Camper
I would have given this 5 stars because of its size and easy set up and all its windows. However, the 3 of the extending poles would either get stuck or would not lock into place. Fortunately for us, we're pretty handy people and were able to fix it ourselves instead of having to return it. If you get one without defects though, it would probably only take 15 minutes to set up. The inside can be one big room or 3 small rooms. The rooms are divided by a removable loop and button fasteners. I do wish these would be zippers instead for more privacy, but it provides partial privacy (there are gaps on the sides, top and bottom.) I choose this because I could keep my small kids in the side rooms and my husband and I in the middle by the doors. It has a door on the front middle and back middle. I love how you can look up at the stars from inside the tent. The inside is blacked out to keep light out, but you can unzip the windows for great views through the tightly woven screens. The screens keep even small bugs out, except for maybe the teeny tiny no-see-ums. The bag it packs into is huge. Putting it back in the bag is not that hard considering the bag was designed with an extra zipper for extra capacity. Somebody was smart and realized the tent was not going to be packed away as tightly as it came from the manufacturer, so better to give a little more room in the bag. Thank you for that.

    Excellent tent and Purchase
Very good tent. I put it up for 4 days in my back yard and we had 2 bad storms to pass through and it stood both of them and did not leak at all. And that was without waterproofing. I saw a reviewer who criticized the seem taping in the tent, but that is what made it waterproof from the factory. We had high winds and it took it pretty good. As some has said, the poles doesn't look or feel very solid, BUT they held up in the the storm like a champ. The only issue that I've had with it is one of the long poles at the top of the tent doesn't slide as freely as the other and it takes a little extra attention when sliding out and putting up. Excellent tent and I would high recommend.

Single mom tenting with two young kids
I'm a single mom taking two young children camping. This tent is so easy to put up and take down all by myself. We spent one night in a huge rain thunderstorm and tent stood up to wind and rain. Plenty of room to walk around. I would say maybe 6 people comfortable with room not 12 but that's just me I need space lol

    My opinion
I would have given it five stars, but when we first used it on our 8 day adventure once it was set up we noticed small holes and a lot of small cuts and also what we think were defects in the material as in you could see outside through the cuts, this is the first year it did not rain and that was a blessing because out tent would NOT have been waterproof. Also we had a small breeze most of the time and that small breeze caused the top rain fly to rub on the roof poles which once we disassembled tent the rain fly had several holes on some of the seams, we are thinking either that was a very thin rain fly or maybe we just received a tent that somehow was exposed to something that maybe caused it to rot or something broke down the tent material, when we got back we contactted Walmart and they sent us a replacement however this is an annual trip so we won’t know for an entire year if we are going to have the same problem with the new tent,l lastly the door zipper has a funky curved design so going in and out a lot of times we would trip over the bottom of the tent or would have to use two hands and work a little to even get it unzipped or zipped back up, a straight up and down zipper door would have been much better, other than. Those two things great tent

don't solo this setup - its a 2 person job
I set this up by myself and it took about 15 minutes. I think I could do it again in 5 minutes if I had to do it again. the instant setup was way easier than using poles for a single person. this tent blow my old one out of the water.
