Great RGB Keyboard for gamers on a budget
The K55 RGB keyboard is cheap but with tons of great feature for the price. There are 6 macros keys on the left which is very rare for a budget keyboard. They are all programmable with built-in macro record button which means no software is required. It also comes with Media keys (mute, volumn up and down, forward play and rewind). Support Anti ghosting which is good for gaming. On the bottom there are 4 rubber pads and also comes with a detachable wrist rest that feels comfortable. This is not a mechanical keyboard... It comes with membrane key switches which improves the typing comfort but without the clicky loud noise that the menchanical keyboard. For personal taste. Afterall, this Corsair k55 RGB keyboard got a lot of bells and whistles for how much it cost especially with the 6 Macro keys.... i will recommend to all users specially gamers. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

Pretty but crappy keyboard
We just bought this keyboard a week or so ago and the ctrl c and ctrl v commands arent working, but ctrl a works. In my research, Ive learned that this is a common issue for this brand and would require a replacement. Thankfully it is still under warranty.

    Great keyboard
I love this keyboard! It works perfectly and the RGB backlighting really adds to the character of my setup. RGB is easily configured using ICUE so you can really get creative with different lighting patterns. There are also six programmable buttons that you can use for whatever purpose you desire. I haven't tried this feature yet but it's great if you'll use this keyboard for gaming. My only critique is the palm rest is plastic so it takes away from comfort. Overall though, a wonderful keyboard.

Great Keyboard for a Great Price!
I bought this keyboard for my son. I have the K95 XLT Platinum and he liked the design. I have to say I think I like this keyboard better than my more expensive version with added features. As nice as those features are, this keyboard works great and is definitely cheaper!

    Good product especially for price.
Showed up 3 days early. Very high quality. Doesnt have the annoying mechanical keyboard click sound, more of a satisfying sink sound.

    Great Value
This is the second time I've bought this keyboard. Once for some else's PC build, and once for my own. We both love it. The iCUE Corsair software is great and provides many RGB options. It's just good quality in general, and feels natural to use when gaming.

Very nice keyboard for the price
I took off one star because the wrist rest is not as described. It says it's some kind of rubbery compound, but it's actually hard plastic. That said, I actually PREFER the hard plastic. So, not a drawback in my book, but you should be aware. Now for the rest. The keys aren't mechanical, but they sure feel like they could be. Good travel and feedback, and not much force required to press them. If your fingers are weak or arthritic, you will find this keyboard easier on your fingers than a cheaper one. The default color scheme is a rainbow of colors going from left to right. I downloaded Corsair's iQUE software and changed the colors to a light to dark blue pulse. The color codes are R-0, G-255, B-255 alternating with R-0, G-0, B-255.

really good key for the price...
I was looking for a new keyboard from a well known name company because the one I purchase almost 2 years ago was just about on its last leg. So I decided it was time to move on to something better so I saw this corsair keyboard so I went for it and what a great choice I made and what difference it makes between this one and the third party one I had. I love it and I'm sorry I didn't get it sooner. For the price it's a really cool looking and I get good performance too.

    Good budget gaming keyboard
The Corsair k55 keyboard is perfect for a budget rgb gaming keyboard it has nice and satisfying rgb backlit keys which also helps you see what you are typing while you are in the dark the only downside to the keyboard it can easily get hair or dirt in between the keys which can be a pain to clean out. Again if you are on a budget you should certainly try to buy the k55

Great keyboard for all use especially gamers
This keyboard has some really great features and performs excellent. It comes with a detachable wrist support. When I first plugged it in and driver got loaded for basic use, downloaded the manufacturers driver and was able to use and customize the features. Back lighting is always nice. I used the software to change factory setting of multi color to a solid color and lessen the brightness. The tactile feel of the keys is good as you would expect.Nice and quiet to use. There are six programmable macro keys. There are also pre-configured sound keys such as volume up and down, mute, etc.. Keyboard is especially nice to use in low light conditions. My wife even likes it and she's not into techie stuff at all. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for more than just a basic keyboard.

    Solid Keyboard
I am typing this review on the Corsair K55 keyboard. Upon first use, I discovered that the top of the keys felt very small. The width approximately 1.2 centimeters. They keys are far apart from each other to avoid accidentally hitting multiple keys, but I wish each key was slightly wider to make for a more comfortable typing experience. The keyboard is responsive and there is satisfying tactile feel with every keypress. The audio control buttons are strategically placed in the upper righthand corner. I can quickly mute and unmute without having to look down. Now onto the lights. The keyboard is divided into three sections. There are preprogrammed color schemes and it is also possible to program your own custom scheme. The lighting adds a nice touch to a dark room. There is an option to have it cycle through different colors automatically. It would be nice if they had instructions on the underside of the keyboard on how to program and change the colors. You have to press specific keys cycle the light combinations or program your own. The macro keys can be programmed for replaying specific key combinations. It is a nice to have but the playback is a little slow.

Backlit gaming keyboard, comfortable for typing
By day, I type at a computer; by night, I game at a computer. I have been using wireless keyboards at both home and work for some years now; however, I did have a sneaking admiration for the backlit keyboard which came with my spouse's current home computer. This is a membrane-backed keyboard, not one with mechanical switches; however, the keys are very similar in shape & size to old-school typewriter keys, without requiring excessive force to depress. (I want to be able to feel my keypresses, of course, but I don't want to work as hard at it as I used to have to with electric typewriters -- which is why I don't particularly like mechanical gaming keyboards.) All of the keys you'd expect to find on a full-size keyboard are here, as well as some media-specific keys (I use volume control a lot), and a column of gaming-specific keys to the left of the main keyboard (G1-G6, presumably for gaming macros set up by the user). There is a detachable wrist rest; however, I found it to be too hard and unsupportive to justify the extra desk space it required, so I left it off after a while. As a basic keyboard, this is plug & play via any USB port, and you can set up macros or change the backlighting without any additional software; however, the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software available from the manufacturer's website now supports the K55 gaming keyboard, and offers some additional customization options for this keyboard. (I tried the CUE software for a few hours, but didn't need gaming macros, and found flashing, color-changing backlighting to be too distracting, so I eventually uninstalled the CUE software.) This is apparently a lower-end gaming keyboard; however, I found it quite adequate for my mixed-use (typing, web browsing and retro gaming) needs. If you (or someone in your life) are looking for a first gaming keyboard, give the Corsair K55 a try -- you may decide that you don't need to upgrade to a fancier keyboard after all! Recommended.
